The sound of steel hitting steel made me look away from the screen.

Xayah and the orc student Oliver was making the platform shake slightly.

Xayah's swing was quick, making sure Oliver's axe stay an arm's reach away from her.

All could Oliver do was block, yet the sheer speed of her strikes made some of them pass through.

Oliver's body was slowly getting cut,

He let out a warcry, a signature ability from the orcs.

His blue aura flew through the wind.

The shockwave made Xayah fall to the ground.

Seeing the opportunity, he quickly charged at her.

The axe was swung with speed and strength like a guillotine.

Ms. Rebecca was about to step in to stop the fight.

But then,

Xayah raised her legs, making the axe hit the platform.

She then wrapped it around her neck,

Lucky bast*rd.

And threw him aside.

His axe flew beside him.

He was about to reach after it, but a spear was struck on the platform blocking him.

As he look up, a pair of scarlet eyes were looking at him.

"Ready to give up, Oliver?"

Oliver then let out a sigh and raised his hands.

"I surrender,"

Xayah took her spear from the platform and was about to leave the platform.

But as Oliver stood up,

"Xayah, you smell like fish,"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU BAST*RD?!"

I could hear some of the students trying to hold their laughter.,

But then my eyes widened as I glance at Wyatt.

As his two friends were trying their best not to laugh, he stood there.

His two silver eyes were dead set on Xayah.

His mouth was slightly open and his hands were shaking.

I look back at the platform,

Xayah was chasing Oliver around, wearing a huge smile on his face as he ran.

Gwen was covering her mouth with one of her hands, probably to not let others see her smile.

In the novel, it was stated that they were childhood friends.

But in the future, after Xayah was traumatized, and Gwen mortified.

Oliver would soon fall into a depression as he was unable to protect his friends.

Oh, yeah, Gwen.

Nathan would act his revenge against her after that duel.

I shook my head.

In order to make the main protagonist shine of course a noble who was unsatisfied that a commoner was higher ranked than him would ask for a challenge.

Reynold agreed immediately and they soon went to the platform.

His katana was coated in a scarlet aura,

"A mere commoner possess such aura!?"

A noble student beside me couldn't believe it.

But I wonder what would they think in the future.

Reynold would soon gain a one-of-a-kind aura,

It will shine in a golden hue, as he would be blessed by the God of Radiance, Aether, with his mark.

I look back to the fight,

It began in a flash,

The noble student with his longsword was the first to swing.

Reynold merely blocked it and swung his katana.

After the noble student was pushed back, he quickly fixed his form, eager to counter the attack.

*BOOM*

But the sheer strength of the katana hitting his sword made him fly back.

The longsword he had broke like glass.

"Oh- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to"

Reynold was flustered and quickly apologized to him.

As he was about to help him get up.

The noble student blinded by rage, soon took a shard.

He was about to pierce it through his neck but a bullet flew through the air shattering it.

The small pieces left cuts on his face.

"AHHHH, MY FACE!!"

Reynold looked shocked at what the noble tried to do, he soon looked back from where the bullet came from.

Gwen was standing there with a Glock in her hand.

The pitiful noble student was still screaming in pain, most of the students were looking at him with disgust.

"To try to kill a student just because you lost,"

The noble student soon opened his eyes,

Ms. Rebecca had fury apparent on her face.

"Get out, pack your bags, and leave,"

"Bu-"

"Are you disobeying me?"

Some of the students shuddered, as Ms. Rebecca let out her White aura.

The sheer presence of it made the noble pass out.

"Disgraceful, can somebody grab him, and deliver him to the clinic,"

Not soon after, they were 3 students who volunteered and with that, the pathetic noble was no longer in the room.

I look back to Reynold, he was still thanking Gwen while occasionally stuttering.

It was clear that he was embarrassed but Gwen simply found him amused.

I then glance back at Wyatt,

I am sure to lose if I try to fight him in practice combat, but if by the off chance that I do win.

I would gain a skill,

Should I do it?

Should I try?
