Calling mama is embarrassing...?

For all I could remember, since my birth, I had never called anyone, even my mother, mama. It was either mother or mom.

It was because, unlike normal babies, I could understand the words spoken to me and the emotions in my heart quite clearly since my birth, just like any normal adult would.

And I found the word 'mama' quite embarrassing, thus never using it.

However, mother had suddenly created a scenario quite far from the truth, and I was forced to act accordingly, as I had promised her beforehand.

"So, if you want to comfort me then…"

For a dramatic effect, she had paused mid-sentence.

Which made me subconsciously gulp down the saliva sticking to the back of my throat.

I suddenly felt nervous, and embarrassment crept up on me as I had a premonition of where it was going.

However, I was unable to prevent it as mother, with a bright smile, finished her dialogue….? Or demand?

"…from now on, you have to call me Mama."
