Shadow: King Of The Night & Ruler Of The Underworld

Betrayed and casted aside by his own family, Greg’s perfectly aligned life morphs into a literal joke. He ends up landing in a wealthy family, and assumes his life is finally back on track, but his life’s status only grew more pathetic, despite him having a wife now. There, he becomes the disgraceful son-in-law everyone despises. Greg gets humiliated on a daily basis by the wealthy people around him. Greg had lost all hope and was about to give up the ghost after one unfortunate circumstance, when heaven finally danced in his favor and a hand stretched out to him— in his long, lost relative who showed up from the blues and completely turned his life around. “You’re no longer the pathetic son-in-law, Greg. You’d now be known as Shadows, King of the night and ruler of the world. Everyone would either bow at your feet or be sent six feet under!” Greg’s time is finally here. Alas, he’s on top of the world, and this time, he’d stop at nothing till every single person who had wronged him, is bowing at his feet.

Saved By The Bell

"Hell no!" she yelled with her friends laughing and making fun of Greg. They whipped out their phones to take pictures of the man while posting it on the net as Greg tried to hide his face.

"What about you? Would you go out with him?" Damien asked another bystander who laughed with her friends.

"I'd rather scrape my ass on this concrete than stand close to him." Her response had everyone around laughing their eyes out.

"Brother, would you want…"

"Don't ask me any question that has that loser in it," someone shut down Damien's question before it could land. "I don't want anything that has to do with him. Look at his clothes.

"He looks like he's been in the gutters more times than my neighbors dogs. And look at his ruffled hair. If he was rich I would admire it but being the poor loser he is, there is nothing to admire. He's not worth anything."

Damien laughed even louder than before. "You see? No one wants you and no one will ever do."

Greg looked down at his feet and closed his eyes to keep the tears from rolling. There had to be something he could do to get out of this jam. Everyday was not going to be like this.

He looked around to see if he could find anyone who would come to his aid but there was no one to do that.

The security guards who were supposed to stop the violence were happy to entertain it and it made him mad as he could not do anything to defend himself.

All he could do was stand there and look at his dressing. It was because of how tattered he looked that he was getting insulted. Maybe if he had good clothes, he would have been allowed into the party and he would not be insulted by Damien.

He blamed himself for not asking for a change of clothes at the time from Steve. It would have reduced his embarrassment to a very low level. Now he had to put up with Damien and the public.

Damien went on and on telling the public about how he had bullied and almost killed Greg. In a sane world, this would have caused an uproar and he would have been insulted for his actions but this was not a sane world.

Only the rich got away with evil deeds, the poor were always at the other end of the stick being punished for crimes they did not commit.

This started to toughen Greg as he made a resolve that no matter what would happen, he would make sure Damien regretted what he was doing to him. He would get to the bottom of this and destroy Damien.

Damien slapped him on his head to get him back to reality before shoving him to the ground.

"I seem to be the only one enjoying this game," the man laughed as he motioned for his goons to gather the man.

"Damien," Greg raised his hands to plead. "Please stop this. We've already gone through this before, we don't need to do this again."

"Are you begging for your life or ordering me around?"

"I'm begging for my life. Please don't do this."

"But I want to. That calm manner you put up anytime I bully you makes me want to kill you and right now that's what you're doing. I hate it when you do that. I want you to grovel and beg for your life, that is what I want."

Greg knew this was the only thing he could do to achieve true peace so he went on to kneel for the man to leave him alone.

"Now don't you see that is where you belong?" Damien laughed, taking his glass of wine from his girlfriend to pour on Greg who was still on his knees.

After pouring it on his head, Damien kicked Greg down which had the man coughing with the guards bawling in laughter.

"Do you like that?!" Damien yelled, kicking him over and over with Greg beginning to lose consciousness.

"Enough!" a guard yelled with another guard coming to drag Damien away from Greg. "No fighting. We don't condone that in the club or outside the club."

Greg struggled to his feet to clean the blood from his mouth. He looked to see the guards telling people to get in line which had him questioning why they were acting like that.

"You, get away from here," a guard said to him before running to the roadside to stand in salute as an expensive car rolled up to the front of the club.

The guards opened the doors as two men alighted from it. One of them was the chauffeur who handed the key of the car to a guard while the other was an old man who had a monocle and he had a very expensive suit on.

Damien and his team did not recognize the man but the bouncers around recognized the man and tried to compose the crowds so it would not be too rowdy.

The old man looked around when he alighted the car to see the crowds staring at him in awe and respect. He was already used to this kind of treatment so he did not see it as anything.

He was not a regular face at the club so most of the crowd didn't know who he was.

However, there were two people who held the same identity as his master and they were him and his master's left hand man who was supposedly in the club handling business..

They were always at the club, making sure everything went smoothly but at the moment, Hudson was not present but instead Steve was the one in front of the car.

The bouncers and guards around locked the doors to attend to the old man as he reached his hand forward to acknowledge the guards. They all fawned over him like children.
