A few feet above up in the sky was Ava, as she ransacked the clouds while desperately surveying her surroundings in search of the Dark Entity. She refused to be humiliated in such manner and her hurting pride was the only fuel that kept pushing her. Suddenly she sighted something or perhaps someone, and on a closer look she instantly recognized the figure. So she swiftly flew towards it speedily.
Hugh was still gliding through the winds, but at a much slower pace. He was badly injured and although his wounds were slowly healing, they were still really deep. He was however in a slight daze of retrospection as he recalled on how he'd been able to escape by tricking them all into seeing a reanimated version of himself. An art of illusion, something he never actually thought would work, but thankfully it did and he was lucky to have finally escaped or has he?.
"You are one sneaky bastard!. But I've finally caught you, motherfucker!"
He swiftly spun around on hearing the sudden familiar voice as his gaze locked with that of a fuming purple skinned woman. As she started flying towards him with an incredible amount of speed that caused earthquakes in the sky.
Their was no way he could compete with her speed, after all he couldn't really fly. It felt like a race between a flying squirrel and a raging hawk. Despite increasing his pace and sailing faster in the air, it proved futile as she thrust herself forward like a bullet and covered the distance between. In a matter of seconds, she
was floating right behind him, with her hands stretched out, in an attempt to grab him. But he quickly passed directly through the walls of a building and into a boutique. But her rage had clouded her vision, and she only wished for one thing at that moment, his death.
She abruptly wrecked into the building, as the walls shattered and the insiders yelped, while some cursed at her. She ignored them all and instead wrecked out through the other side of the building, causing another uproar from the clueless civilians and one more huge hole on the wall. She searched around, but could not find the him. As she roared in frustration and persistently resumed to look around in search of her prey.
But unknown to her, he still remained in the boutique. As he quickly took a long hooded black coat from the lined cloth racks in the place and covered himself up, in hopes of forming a good disguise. She didn't want to come to the obvious conclusion that she'd lost him. But she knew it was time to retire, just then her sharp tingling senses kicked in and she spotted one strange individual in the mist of crowd. She threw herself down from the sky and proceeded to reach out to the strange person.
He was walking briskly through the streets as he swifty took different turns and cuts into hidden dark alleys. When suddenly he felt the presence of someone familiar behind him, so he quickened his pace. The steps behind him increased so he halted his steps. No longer moving as he started to say some chanting words. But what he didn't expect was to be grasped viciously from behind and thrust into a rough wall. But he was fast enough to turn his whole body intangible, just as his body was about to collide with the wall. He passed through the solid wall and fell into the house, but unfortunately still crashing on a family's table dinner, but his attacker was not done, as she wrecked into the house and grabbed him aggressively by the neck with her steel like hands.
"What the fuck are you!?" She yelled lividly at the seemingly unwavering being.
His response was silence, as he strangely let her strangle the life out of him with no sign of hurt or agony.
"Aight!. I'll just take the fuckin' helmet off and find out for myself!." She shouted angrily as she tried taking off his helmet, but instantly froze momentarily as she suddenly heard a familiar whisper.
"It's me Ava."
it was only a three words, but it echoed like a million in her tiny brain as she quickly let go of him and shrieked back in disbelief with her hands clasped to her ears as he tried keeping the voices out of her mind.
"Get the fuck outta my head!. You asshole!."
He abruptly fell to his knees as soon as she let go off him, while coughing slightly as he rubbed his sore throat. He was certain that it was Jeb's doing. But he couldn't understand why she was staring at him with a look that didn't reek of detest, but a longing and maybe joy. But none of that mattered though, he was still the same relentless psychopath and so was he.
But before teleporting, he cast at her one last glance as he exploded into a burst of blackish purple smoke and vanished. She remained completely still and shocked, paralyzed by her past as she reminisced on how she'd gotten to know Omega man, her former mentor. He'd taught her to harness her powers and all.
Over those years she started to developed an erotic feeling towards him but was too afraid confront him about it. Because despite being a 100 years old, she was still regarded her as a child. This was all due to her alien genetics which caused her to age slowly and because she had been in coma inside of her space pod for nearly half of her 100 years, caused her to retain her child-like mind.
«Could it really be?. That he, the Dark Entity is a reincarnation of the Omega man.»
Morrigan had talked about stuffs like that but she really didn't care to listen. Just then it dawned to her, that if he was really the Omega man, then she hadn't she made a big mistake.
How could she have let them hurt him, she was supposed to know it was him. She was like the closet person in his life, how could she not have known.
The rest of the team saw her kneeling on the cold ground, looking defeated. They all flew over and landed close to her.
"Are you okay Ava?." Asked Lava boy with a very tender voice.
She jolted back to reality as soon as she felt his hand in her shoulder. Nodding her head affirmatively as she swiftly wiped the tears in her face.
"I can still sense his aura." Morrigan mumbled calmly.
"Me too. His not too far, I can still penetrate into his mind an..."
"No oooo!!... " She abruptly snapped.
They were all confused and didn't understand why she was suddenly being defensive.
"No more. let's let him be" She whispered soberly and swiftly erupted into the sky.
Lava boy burst out flames from his legs and trailed behind her, and so did the rest, except for Blackout whom took some time to look around suspiciously, before leaping into the sky as well.

As Hugh arrived home, he weakly laid on his bed. While his bedsheet was soon covered in red. He closed his eyes and whispered a few chanting words. For a moment, he thought it was all about to end. He thought he'd finally be put to sleep.
"Jeb?".
"What is it?. Did you pee on your pant?" Jeb jokingly taunted.
"Remind me not to mess with anything purple next time okay"
"Hahaha. Roger that Sir"
They both chuckled softly and then followed an awkward silence.
"Jeb" He called again after a while.
"What is it now?."
"What did you say to that purple lady?" He asked nonchalantly.
"Ohh that. Nothing much, just that her boobs had gotten bigger."
"Really!?"
"Yeah. Wanna know what else I told her?"
"Tell me"
"That you just got your ass handed to you by a lady."
"That's not true. I only chose not to hit back."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Am not so fond of hitting women."
"Miss Evelyn would think otherwise." Jeb chipped in as they both laughed at his awful joke.
Life had been kind of fun since he got to know this friendly ghost, but he feared that soon those days of happiness would be over. For it is said that nothing good lasts for long.
"What is it son?" Jeb suddenly asked as he noticed his slight change of mood.
"What?" He feigned ignorance as he tried to conceal his thoughts.
"You do know that we are bonded so I share your feelings as well."
He paused momentarily and then whispered to him. "Then you must have felt it... Didn't you?."
"I want to hear it from you."
That dark feeling again, I fear that soon I won't be able to hold back and eventually I might end a life, not preserve one like we planned."
Speechless and unable to make out anything reasonable. He decided to remain calm as well. He had the feeling also, all those deaths made them feel good, it empowered them and he feared that Hugh's lust for blood had just sky rocketed. His strings were gradually cutting open.
