"Where's Mommy?" Aneska spoke to herself and then went into her mother's room but what she was looking for was still not there.
"It's impossible if you haven't come home from the market, the house lights are on. Maybe you went to a neighbor's house?" Aneska asked herself.
Aneska worriedly rushed into the room to change clothes. "I'm going to find Mommy."
After she finished changing into her school uniform, Aneska came out of the room to coincide with her mother who had just entered.
"Mommy, where? I looked for Mommy everywhere but Mommy was not there," asked Aneska.
"Mommy from a neighbor's house whose child is going to be circumcised tomorrow. Coming home from the market, I immediately go there. See what you have brought!" The mother showed me the black plastic package in her hand.
"What is it, ma'am?" Aneska asked immediately following her mother into the kitchen.
"Miss Popon gave this food, it's enough for us to eat. Are you hungry?" Mother asked.
"Hungry ma'am," answered Aneska as she sat down on a wooden chair.
"Wait a minute, I'll take the plate. I'm hungry too, haven't eaten since this afternoon." The mother then arranges the food into the plate one by one.
"Looks good, who's cooking?" Ask Aneska looking at the food on the table.
"Neighbors, all of them came to help, so I went straight there. It's a shame if you don't come, Mrs. Popon is very kind to us."
Aneska took the plate that her mother had prepared and filled it with rice and side dishes, as did Mother, who also looked hungry.
The two of them then enjoyed the food that Mother had brought from the place of the person who had a celebration tomorrow. Seen there is potato fried chili sauce, vermicelli noodles mixed with green chili, and tempeh tofu with fried chicken that looks like there are several pieces.
After she finished eating, Aneska immediately cleaned the table and washed the dirty dishes, everything she always did because she knew her mother was tired of selling at the market.
"Mom!" Aneska called from the kitchen.
"I'm watching television," her mother answered from the living room.
"I've locked the kitchen door, Mom," said Aneska, sitting next to her mother, who was watching soap operas.
"Yes," answered Mother with her eyes focused on the television which was showing scenes of people fighting.
"What soap opera is this, ma'am?" Asked Aneska because she saw her mother who was very focused.
"Ordinary, soap opera actor," replied his mother.
Aneska joined in watching soap operas that her mother watched.
"It's finally over," said Mother. "Soap operas exist in real life as well. Women who steal people's husbands are a lot in everyday life. For example, your father left us with other women."
Aneska did not speak or comment for fear of saying the wrong thing.
"At that time, I don't think so, I don't know now. I'll never know how your father is doing because I never found out either. I have let it go, then let it go, every human must make mistakes. Now let's just live our lives in peace without thinking that will make our hearts hurt and hurt."
Aneska smiled. "Mommy has an angelic heart, Father who has hurt you, I still forgive you. I am proud that I was born from my mommy's womb."
"I can only give you advice. Someday, when Mom is gone, you can take good care of yourself. Don't hurt other people's feelings. Live well.'
Aneska hugs her mother. "I will always remember all your advice. After all, who said you would leave me? You will always be with me. I will never leave you."
Her mother smiled. "But, we don't know how long we will be in this world. Mommy will not always be there for you. When Mommy is gone, find a man who accepts all your flaws and loves you sincerely."
"Mum, don't talk like that, as if you will go far from me," said Aneska, frowning.
"I only speak according to reality. In this world nothing lasts forever, everything is just a deposit," said Mother smiling.
Aneska looked at her mother deeply, her mind drifting away from thinking about her mother's words just now. What would have happened to her if his mother had died? Will she be able to survive?
"Why are you silent?" Her mother asked.
"It's okay," Aneska answered shortly. "Mom, I want to do homework from school in my room." Aneska got up from her seat.
"Lock the front door first! Looks like it hasn't been locked," said Mother again watching television.
"Yes," Aneska walked towards the front door and locked it immediately.
The silence in the countryside was felt, only the sound of the nocturnal animals could be heard when the day had turned into night. The cold air that enveloped the night was getting more bone-chilling carried by the wind that entered through the ventilation holes of the house.
"It's cold," Mother mumbled but her eyes remained fixed on the television screen showing a new soap opera.
The night was getting late, Mommy fell asleep on the sofa whose color was starting to fade.
Aneska had finished doing her schoolwork and came out of the room intending to get drinking water. But his eyes saw his mother sleeping on the sofa.
"Mommy, why are you sleeping on the chair?" She muttered as she turned off the television.
She saw that Mother was sleeping soundly. "To be snoring like this, but if I don't wake you up later your body will hurt sleeping on the sofa. If I wake you, I'm sorry you are sleeping like this. It's impossible if I have to carry her. Your body is bigger than mine."
Finally, Aneska just stood there for a while with her arms folded across her chest. "I'm sleepy too, I should just wake up Mom instead of getting sick later sleeping on the sofa," she mumbled to himself.
Aneska approached her mother, her hand slowly patted her mother's hand. "Mom, Mom. Wake up, the bed moves to the room." Aneska patted her mother's hand a few times slowly until she woke up.
"What is it?" she asked with an ungainly consciousness.
