Reward
Anna giggled when Lexus sighed in relief and leaned his back on his seat when all her friends finally left.
They had asked him a lot more questions and he answered all of them satisfactorily. They had approved of him and they were all smiles when they left. But they warned him that their eyes were still on him and that if he made Anna suffer, they would haunt him.
Lexus straightened up when he recalled that Anna was still there and she laughed even more. He looked so exhausted like he had just done a year's worth of work.
"Are you alright?" she teased and he nodded. Probably too tired to even speak.
Anna rose and kissed him on the cheek. He was surprised at first, but a smile crossed his face and he embraced her. He buried his face on her chest.
"You did well. Five of those ladies had difficulty getting a divorce while one was made to sign the divorce papers against her will," Anna finally revealed and Lexus was wide-eyed.
