All the way to the Club
The hot evening air blew filled with dust and the irritating smell of exhaust smoke. The blaring of horns and loud music from different cars was a major cause of noise pollution. The road was busy and every road user was in a hurry, pedestrians and drivers alike. It was the usual evening rush and today was worse because it was Friday the beginning of the weekend. Workers who were in a rush to return to their families and the quietness of their homes dished out insults to commercial drivers who were in a hurry to drop passengers and pick up some more. Friday evenings in the city of Uyo can be frustrating for a first-time visitor but the residents were used to the lifestyle.
