Chloe, Jessica, and Damien sat at a small cafe, sipping on coffee and chatting about their love lives. Chloe had been quiet for a while, lost in thought, before finally bursting out, "I can't believe I was such a fool for him. He cheated on me multiple times and I kept forgiving him because he was tall and hot."

Damien raised an eyebrow, "Chloe, you're being a doormat. You can't just keep forgiving someone who doesn't respect you or your feelings. You deserve better than that."

Chloe looked down at her lap, "I know. But it's hard to let go of someone you thought was the one for you."

Jessica chimed in, "Yeah, it's hard. But you know what would make it easier? Money. Who is this guy? Maybe I can get some money from him."

Chloe looked up, startled, "What? No, Jessica. That's not right. We're talking about my heartbreak here."

Jessica rolled her eyes, "I know, I know. I'm just kidding. But seriously, you need to stop being so shallow, Chloe. Just because a guy is tall and handsome doesn't mean he's worth your time. What about his personality? His character? You should be looking for someone who treats you with respect and kindness, not just someone who looks good on paper."

Chloe nodded, "You're right. I've been so focused on the exterior that I haven't really looked at what's inside. It's just hard, you know? I want someone who's successful and rich, but I also want someone who's kind and caring."

Damien smiled, "There are plenty of guys out there who fit that bill, Chloe. You just have to be patient and keep looking. Don't settle for someone who's not worth your time."

Chloe smiled back at Damien, "Thanks, Damien. You're right. I need to be more selective in who I date and not just go for the looks."

Jessica smirked, "Yeah, and maybe you'll find a rich guy who's also kind enough to give me some money."

Damien interjected, "Chloe, maybe it's time for you to take a break from relationships and focus on yourself. Sometimes we need to put ourselves first before we can love someone else."

Chloe nodded in agreement, "You're right, Damien. Maybe I do need to take a step back and focus on my own happiness."

"I mean you're right. I actually have something to focus on. I'll have my first day at Parker Industries. I'm going on a last interview before getting hired and I heard that they are a really well-known company and I heard that the workload for an assistant is a lot harder here.

As Chloe talked about her new internship in a big company, Jessica couldn't help but google search the CEO's picture. "Wow, he looks so hot," she exclaimed, drooling over the image on her phone.

She smacked Chloe's arm playfully, "Girl, you are so lucky you get to work for such a hottie."

Damien sighed, "I heard some rumors about that company. Apparently, they hire a lot of people, but after a week, they all quit. There must be something going on there."

Chloe started to worry, "Oh no, really? What if I'm getting myself into something I can't handle?"

Jessica tried to lighten the mood, "Maybe they all left because there were too many office romances and they all fought and then quit."

As Damien's concerns about the company grew, Jessica tried to change the topic by offering Chloe another opportunity. "Hey, Chloe, have you ever thought about modeling?" she asked, a glimmer in her eye. "I'm part of a modeling agency and we're looking for new faces. You're so pretty, I think you'd be perfect for it!"

Chloe was taken aback by the sudden offer. She had never thought about modeling before, but the idea of trying something new was tempting. "I don't know, Jess," she said hesitantly. "I've never done anything like that before."

Jessica grinned, sensing an opportunity. "Come on, Chloe! It'll be fun. And you'll get to meet so many new people and wear pretty clothes. Plus, the pay is great."

Chloe was still unsure, but she promised to think about it. Damien, on the other hand, was skeptical. "I don't know if modeling is the best idea right now," he said, giving Jessica a pointed look. "Chloe just started a new job, she should focus on that first."

Jessica rolled her eyes, but Chloe appreciated Damien's concern. "Yeah, maybe you're right," she said, still unsure about the modeling offer. "I'll think about it, Jess."

The three friends finished their drinks and headed home, still discussing the strange rumors about Chloe's new company and the possibility of her trying out modeling. Chloe couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about both options, but she didn't know what to do about it. All she could do was wait and see what the future held.

As they continued chatting, Jessica suddenly received a text message on her phone that made her visibly terrified. Chloe and Damien tried to ignore it, assuming it was just one of Jessica's friends. However, as Jessica stood up and looked around strangely, Damien couldn't help but ask her what was wrong.

"Jess, is everything okay?" Damien asked, a concerned expression on his face.

Jessica tried to smile and brush it off, but it was clear that she was shaken up. "Oh, it's nothing," she said, still avoiding eye contact. "I just remembered that I have something I need to take care of tonight. It's getting late, so I should probably go."

Chloe and Damien exchanged a worried glance, but they didn't want to push Jessica if she wasn't ready to talk about it. They agreed to call it a night and paid their bill before walking home together.
