13: Recovering

The kid whos' name was Aston took us back to his house.

It was a double story with bricks and a wood finish roof. Compared to the other houses it looked quite good.

So we soon stepped inside and where greeted by around 20 maids and butlers. "This is it, you can stay here for as long as you ne-" But soon Az crashed to the floor along with Rou who was still on his back.

{7 DAYS LATER}

All I could see was darkness for a while, endless darkness with no beginning or end. I was aware of myself but at the same time I wasn't, I couldn't properly think or control my actions. It felt so restricting like I was trapped in a box.

But slowly I was coming to my senses and my eyes where opening every so slightly, I was immediately blinded at the light.

"So you've finally woken up sleepy head."

It was Aston who was sitting on a wooden chair staring at me bandaged up and not moving a muscle.

"It seems you a bit more quicker to heal than your friend over there, he's been sleeping like a king. Though he snores way to much."

"Way to true, when we where travelling here I could barely sleep when he was snoring like a animal." He snickered before updating me on everything that has happened since we where as sleep.

He told me about how we where severally injured and always staying on the edge of life, they would always have to rotate between staff just to keep them breathing. He also told me about how the civilians where handling it, during the final bout we managed to take a nice chunk out of the city.

The king already sent his mages and builders to start cleaning up and rebuilding.

But there was really only one thing on my mind, "Why did you save me."

Aston stared at me for a while before saying, "Simply because I need you. I need you to kill the king and save my brother."

There was a brief pause, before I said, "We didn't come here to cause trouble. We're only here to avoid the war and take shelter from enemies." "Well that's what I sorta guessed, there are many people like you here in danaford, people who are to scared to be in close range of the holy war."

"You act as if you know anything about war, your just a child." "That may be true but I've seen things not many children have." That's when the kids eyes darkened and anyone with a brain could see the kids been through shit.

"But we both saw what Rou and I did against Axel and friends. I doubt we would defeat a whole kingdom."

"Then... simply become stronger."

I deadpanned before saying, "You still are a child at heart." Trying to get up from the bed was a big struggle, I couldn't even move my left leg."

That's when Aston put my arm around him the helped me get up. Before handing me crutches and I walked out of the room.

{3 DAYS LATER}

I've been slowly healing from the battle, taking daily trips to the stadium to dip in the fairy pond. But it wasn't enough to fully heal me. Rou was still knocked clean out and trying to recover and I watched over him as much as I could.

I also explored some of the kingdom, it was in quite a panic after the major battle but money still needs to be made so shops where coming back up.

My body was now a lot batter than last time as I no longer needed crutches and I could start training again.

So I loaded up stadium and went to work, although I only used bunnies just to ease myself back in to it.

My body has been fully healed now and because of my frequent visits to stadium I got more SP.

But even with this I knew I couldn't beat him one on one.

But clearing those thoughts from my head I made my way through to Rous room to check on him before arriving to his door and greeting Rou who was being supported by Aston just like I was.

{ 7 DAYS LATER}

We have officially stayed at Astons house for 24 days recovering from the fight. Things outside of here have started cooling down since the holy war is now over and things in Danafor have gotten much better.

Rou's also been healing quickly thanks to his snatch ability. He usually just stays in a room by himself and absorbs life force to quicken his recovery, though its very tough to do in his current body and he doesn't even know the proper capabilities of snatch.

But as I observed him more and more I noticed that he was acting different. Almost as if he's an empty body.

*He is struggling to accept the fact he lost, after his training with you he thought he was as strong as he could be. That he was invincible. But after losing twice in one day it took a major blow to his spirit.*

"He really isn't the only one."

*That is why I want to offer you both a way to become stronger. I was going to save this until you became level 50 but it seems that process needs to be sped up.*

Suddenly I felt inspiration, "What do we have to do."

*If you where to take this on yourself you would've got 100SP but that will be halved with Rou.*
