#32 An Ice Bathed In Gold

"Mrs. Colonel have a surprise for us." inform Marinara.

"For us ?" I tried to confirm it.

"Right and we should come after to see her."

Just before I want to make a proper preparation for my next battle, Marinara comes to me once again and telling me that The Boss will appear somewhere around the arena. I wonder, what kind of surprise Marinara tells me about. But judging her face while she talk to me, she also don't have any idea what kind of surprise she's telling me.

As expected from Mrs. Colonel, she is unpredicted even to her own subordinate.

But then, when I walked together with Marinara, I saw a silhouette of a little girl just around the intersection after the participant room. Thus, I followed the disappearing silhouette cause the silhouette feels similar in my eyes. Maybe I must apology to Marinara for suddenly disappearing like this.

The sound of marching trumpet filled the arena. The princess arrival accompanied by her longingly best friend, Mrs. Colonel Tania Bloodtides makes a very beautiful scene.

The crowds started to whisper, the faint sound of their whispers filling the arena. The princess arrival together with her is the most anticipated event since they both never seen hanging out together again after the war is ended. People in the capital is eagerly waiting for their plan to be together again and today is the day they are waiting for.

The two figures of the kingdom's beauty is appeared together and smiled to the crowds that happily welcoming them in the arena. But unfortunately, they both didn't plan to make a speech or at least giving one or two words to the people that await for this moment for long. They just simply came to the arena to watch the fight together but somehow makes their appearance as catchy as possible in royal style. But still, their moment watching the fight together will be captured by people's gadgets and media's camera around.

The crowds makes a way for The Princess and Mrs. Colonel to sit together. They're automatically giving their seats to them so The Princess and Mrs. Colonel may having their good time together. But somehow, they still resisting when The Princess guards willing to take their seats even if it's for a good reason.

"The crowds is vigorous as always, eh ?" said Tania talking to The Princess.

"Yes, they never letting us down when it comes to their spirits." The Princess answering while smiled.

"It's like we are an idol, right ? Ahahaha....." Tania laughed gracefully.

"I thought so ahaha...." The Princess also laughed gracefully.

Seeing them both smiling and laughing gracefully, the crowds are getting louder and louder like they was given a very smooth fanservices. The camera sound then could be heard taking their beautiful moments together again along with the flash blinking here and there.

Meanwhile, Marinara came out from the participant lobby just for seeing her master having a good chit chat with another girl like they were best friend. She then put her right hand on her left chest and bowed a little to Mrs. Colonel and The Princess as her salute. But then, she was realized that Abra is nowhere around her and she completely losing track of him.

"(Huft..... no wonder there's no answer when I speak to him earlier)" she's grumbling in her mind.

But then, a fast footstep coming closer. Cade Valentine run through the hallways catching up with Marinara at the end of the hallways. After he arrives, he then stopped for a second and asking what was happened while he was away.

"Am I missing something ?"

"Not really, you just miss their lovely smile. That's all." answer Marinara lightly like there was nothing happened.

Cade then turn his head above and seeing Mrs. Colonel and The Princess attending to the fight and sitting together side by side. He immediately put his right hand on his left chest and bowed a little to Mrs. Colonel and The Princess presence like Marinara did.

Meanwhile, on the Mrs. Colonel and The Princess seat, The Princess laughed at Tania's subordinate who've coming late and giving his salute out of the blue. But on the other hand, Mrs. Colonel exhaling in disappoint cause her subordinate didn't make an amazing appearance. And to change the topic, Tania ask the guard beside her to bring them a beverages to accompanied them watching the fight.

"My lady, do you also want to order something ?" ask Tania politely.

"Tania.... didn't I tell you not to call me that ! But yes I do also want some beverages. But before that, why do you even order a carbonated tea at the time like this ? There's no--"

"Ahaha.... In that case, do you know what color is a carbonated tea ?"

"Yellow....? Slightly.... golden ? I am not sure but I think it's brown and slightly gold."

"Exactly. I want to see the ice inside my drink bathed in that golden water. And it's because, I am confident my ace would win the fight and bathed in gold, the same as the ice is." said Tania while practicing holding a glass of carbonated tea.

Hearing those words coming out from Mrs. Colonel mouth, the media and the crowds who held their gadget immediately taking a picture of her and write down to what she just said. Seeing those enthusiastic people around her, Tania smiled awkwardly at them. She letting her guard down and saying those words without cautious.

"Amazing, as expected from the young Colonel." The Princess praise her.

"It's nothing. I just saying my reason. Then, what do you want to order ?" said and ask Tania while she was blushing.

"Ah, to match with yours. I also confident my ace would win the battle. So I would like to order an orange juice."

"Orange juice ? What a childish beverages."

"What else can I do, I am way too young for that kind of beverages. Either way, I am not that confident to my ace since you've said that your ace may win the battle." The Princess frown her forehead.

"Hmmm.... Am I that promising ? Seems that you've known me well, Princess."

Then, without taking any long, Tania order a glass of carbonated tea while The Princess order an orange juice to the guards. Both of the guards then move their muscle looking for the beverages both of the lady wanted.

Just after the guards move their muscles, the ace of the kingdom finally showed himself using his full armor to the arena. The crowds shouting out loud, they are excited just for seeing The Symbol of Strength using his full armor to the arena. Since he rarely using his full armor like this, The Symbol of Strength acknowledge his opponent power and how terrifying his opponent is. It makes the crowds, the media, and The Princess craze before his appearance.

But on the other hand, there is a lady who ain't move a single muscle seeing his full armor.

The Symbol of Strength then realizing that his master is watching the fight so he does the same as Marinara and Cade after seeing them. Considering how heavy and bothering the armor looks, The Symbol of Strength may move freely while using the armor without any problem.

After The Symbol of Strength giving his best salute, the deft guards who run and search for the beverages those lady wanted is back bringing them what are they wanted. The carbonated tea served in a proper glass that the carbonated tea should have but the orange juice is served the same as the carbonated tea. Seeing this phenomenon, Tania couldn't help but laugh.

Now, they both looks like drinking the same beverages in the same media to drink it. But in reality, they both drinking a different kind of beverages. Mrs. Colonel and The Princess then toasted their beverages in the air and drink them while holding each other shoulder.

"Cheers !" said them both simultaneously.

Then, in the arena, Cade Valentine meet The Symbol of Strength using his full armor face to face. Before the fight begin, The Symbol of Strength stare him sharply to intimidate him before the fight begin. But then, he realize that his strategy won't works at him and he smiled at him behind his helmet instead. Moreover, Desmond is a man who likes to intimidate his worthy called opponent first before the fight begin.

"Youngster, I've acknowledge your power even before this battle begin. Tell me your name !" ask Desmond.

"I am man with pride. I am not telling my name before yours."

"I allow it. The name's Desmond Von Rerugen Ivanov, I am The Symbol of Strength of this kingdom and a proud member of The Princess Sword. My blade, shield, and this armor is my strength. None shall prevail before this presence." said Desmond in high tone.

"I acknowledge your power. The name's Abraham Huraira, The Thirteen member of The Thirteen Princess Claw. I may use anything as my strength but the weapon behind my back is the true weapon that I usually use than this sword. Also, I've never lose to anyone except the one who sit beside The Princess over there." answer Cade confidently.

"I like how you talk, youngster."

"The same as me. Usually, I am not talk this high but I have no choice since the one in front of me is much worse than I am."

"Ahahaha.....! You do have guts for saying that to me. We may get along faster than we thought."

"Who knows, I am a man who's easy going with everyone."

While they having a good talk to each other before the battle start, Marinara Sotsu back to her place and waiting for the good news. Or to be exact, Marinara Sotsu waiting for the colonel's prediction to be happening thus she could continue executing her other job. She and the other twelve member of The Princess Claw has a very good faith to their leader.

"Abraham Huraira, you resemble the man I admire since the old time...."

Thus, Sotsu Marinara disappear into the darkness of the participant waiting hallways.
