#20 The New Recruit

The new morning came, I'm awake from my bed then prepare to create a brand new start to start the day. Started from opening the window's curtain, turning off the lights, and don't miss the moment of the morning sky view. A dark blue sky where the stars are scattered and flourish the horizon.

Hanging a towel on my right shoulder, I came out from the room then heading for the bathroom.

It's been a week since the last mission I receive from Mrs. Colonel. From there, I obtain a new recruit and make him as my first subordinate. Like a golden star who fall from the sky while bringing happiness to the other, he much the same like that. Has a great potency, excellent disciplinary, and moreover he is a normal one like a true soldier.

The problem is, after a week, I still haven't register him into the government. Honestly, I do have a problem that preventing me to do so for that whole week. Mrs. Colonel punishment is so hard and a troublesome one to be precise. But for now, I've completed the punishment and be able to bring him to the headquarters today. That's why I wake this early in the morning and prepare as soon as possible.

I then crossing Nera's room again after done with the bath. I wonder if she has awake on this early hour. So, I open the door into her room and check on her condition. Like a father who peek at his daughter while she is still sleeping, I maybe doing the same. She is there, sleeping while putting both of her hand on her chest, she's asleep like a dead lying in its coffin. But other than her scary sleeping behavior, she is sleeping gracefully like a doll.

Thus, I close the door and leave her on her slumber. Even though, she's going to awake soon.

The Capital of Arcadia Apple is located in the center of The Arcadia Apple Kingdom, north from The Cub City, Green Hemimorphite. From here, the fastest way to access the city is by using a train or even worse by riding a Bokko. Though, I'm not sure if I should bring him riding a Bokko for fast travel or a normal one using the train. Still, riding Bokko for a formal travel is a stupid idea.

But somehow, I doubt the efficiency of the train these days. It's only four years after The Alliances cleanse the world from The Evil Mist Creature remnant. I'm quite concern about what would happen next if the train exit the station and move further along the rail. I know the mist repellent lamp is exist and protect the train, and even its scattered around the world, created by The Magician Race. But somehow, I am not so sure.

The train then leaving the station, entering the new area filled of light.

Here, I'm with my new subordinate, Danjo Oden and my trustful servant, Gatto Nera. The three of us take this train and leaving The Cub City of Green Hemimorphite for awhile. I bring Nera cause she might become useful to scan the area which I'm yet to familiar with and there was a suggestion from Mrs. Colonel herself to make her see the vast of the world.

"Nera, do you want something to eat ? At least to ease your boredom." I ask her if she want a treat or something.

"Huh ? How rude. In your eyes, am I look like a girl who eat to satisfied my lust of entertainment until I got obesity or something. Foul no, even though you're my master but I humbly refuse." answer Nera.

I should've known that is coming. Nera is a girl after all.

Thus, I ring the bell and call for the waiter in this train coming for me. But not letting me avert my eyes to the windows, the waiter immediately coming to my seat and offer some desert and beverage. I take the blooming apple desert and Herr Mann take a green apple tanghulu. Everything the train offer is free so we mustn't hesitate to take whatever we want from their offers. But interesting, I'm not expecting that he loves sweet.

Suddenly, I look at Nera's face and shocked to see how much she want those desert the waiter offers. Her mouth is watering, seeing how good the deserts looks. Now now, she may older than me but she is still a child in heart. She looks like want to eat that golden apple pie cheesecake so bad thus I take it for her and let her enjoy herself.

"You may be my master but for now you have my gratitude."

I'm simply smiled and pretend to be grateful while patting her head. Seeing her munching those sweet makes my heart warm.

"Such a lovely family I'm witnessing." said Herr Mann.

"Ah, yes. I treat her like my own family." I continue.

"So she is... not ?" ask Herr Mann suspiciously.

"It's not like that. It just she and me had more complicated relationship." I avoid to answer the truth.

"I see. It may be too complicated for me so I won't ask for more. I humbly apologize."

"Don't mind it."

Thus we may proceed to out next destination in peace. Along the way, Herr Mann and I, talking and share information that we may not know. Other than that, we also had a good chit chat talking about hobbies or so to deepen our bonds to create a good work environment.

"Ahahahaha.... that's reminds me of my old days in the barracks." I simply laugh.

"Heh, you thought so."

"Yes, we had a good time whenever there's a chance to smile and laugh together. We may seem a little bit distance in the city but whenever we are alone the story is different."

"I see. These kind of treatment is bothering you and even your family."

"Yes, it is what it is. But, we must stay strong. In order to survive and took what previously was ours."

"Previously ?" I'm curious.

"Peace and tranquility. Being able to socialize, free from terror, and live as we want like you all always had." he explain.

"I see. To be honest, I do have the same dream as yours."

"I am sorry for my rudeness but you do have those in your possession, why do you ask for more ?"

"It's not like the momentarily peace I crave for but something even greater, my own selfishness in the same time. I crave for everlasting peace and happiness as long as the world would stand still."

"I see. As expected from my Captain."

"Thanks. So that's why I joined the special forces again under her command. She is going to be the one who's able to rule the world where people could be happy."

"Tania Bloodtide, such a great name for a beautiful and righteous queen."

"Agree. She's our last hope to restore the world once again."

"What ? a new recruit ? Though, it wasn't me who invite and letting him to work at this place in the first place. Though I'm never intended to but I pretty sure that he has a potential." Tania explain.

"Without questioning your decision, why do you think so ?" ask the woman who wore The Tower's uniform and painted it with colorful graffiti spelled "Two Means More".

"Abra's resolve. He is willing to do so I could not help but to agree. Moreover, he need subordinate."

"Abraham Huraira, what an interesting new comers. I wonder what kind of guy he is and why he could attract you that easy." said the woman while speak highly so sudden and sharpen her gaze.

"Mind your language, I am not that easy." Tania threaten her back.

"My sincere apology, Mrs. Colonel." the woman then bend her body and faithfully bow before her.

Tania then ignore her bow by continuing her works writing document for the woman who ask for her forgiveness. But inside her scary face, she already forgive her yet she doesn't let her stand up to shut her mouth for a second. She know what kind of personality every Princess Claw has yet she doesn't really concern them.

Thus three hour were passed. The woman who bow before her is yet to stand up and straighten her back. But in search for her forgiveness, she keep bowing while holding the pain. Yet, Tania doesn't even want to talk to her for the time being and enjoy the silent.

Tania then sip the tea before her and stretch her back for a second. After that, she continue writing the document for another three hours. Then, after two hour addition, Tania finishes the document and stretches for the last time.

"Okay you good to stand now, I forgive you." said Tania allowing her to stand up.

Then, the woman stretches her back and very loud sound of bones breaking could be heard echoing through the office room. The sound is so refreshing for them both, especially for the woman since she has been freed from the great punishment.

"This is the document for your next task. The detail is inside." she gave her the document, "Also, I want you to gather The Princess Claw tomorrow. I want you to inform to every Claws around the kingdom."

"Understood. I won't let you down anymore." answer the woman while taking the document.

"I expect a lot from you, Carla Aqmarina."

Carla bow then take her leave. She then open the door and see something terrible happen. There's so many angry client who wait outside Mrs. Colonel door and seems also angry at her. Seeing the rage of many people, Carla could only just smile and fast apologize.
