The Tower (1)

Kai and Fu Huang rode at top speed through the grassy landscape. Only when the sun began to set did Kai see the silhouette of a massive tower in the distance.

Kai looked on in sheer surprise as he turned to Fu Huang, who smiled with a nod.

"Haha, I had the same reaction when I first saw it. Believe it or not, this tower is actually one of the smaller ones. Most are double this size", Fu Huang said with a chuckle.

"You're saying that massive thing is small?" Kai asked incredulously. This tower was already a behemoth that would rival some of the largest buildings in his old world. Once again, Kai felt that the scale of things in this world was just too ridiculous.

"Haha, also, all services in the tower use Qi-Crystals, so your coins will be useless there."

Kai nodded his head in understanding. The tower was made by cultivators who had no use for coins. It made sense that Qi-Crystals would be the only form of acceptable currency inside.
