When the couple arrives home, a contented smile could be seen on their faces. They are both happy spending their days together. The two have been in a relationship for a long time, but this is the first time they spent their time in a picnic.

Before most of their time together is online and could not physically interact with each other. But because of his feeling for her ever since they were younger and his promise to find and marry her someday, Yu Bai held to their relationship even without the physical interaction.

On the other hand, Ma Mian could also see the dedication that Yu Bai is putting into their relationship which made her feel that he is the only real person besides her mom, in her life.

And this picnic date that they are having is the man in front of her serving her like a queen is evidence that her decision to choose this man is correct.

Yu Bai and Ma Mian spent the rest of the day laughing, talking and being together without a care in the world.

It was about 3 p.m. when suddenly both of them received a call from their phones.

Yu Bai answered the call as Ma Mian walks a distance from him.

Ma Mian was a bit scared when she saw that the one calling her is Manager Lan. She did not want Yu Bai to discover anything wrong so she subconsciously sneaks a peek at him. When she saw that he is also talking on his phone, she heaves a sigh of relief.

"Lan, what's wrong?" Ma Mian said after she answered the phone.

"Liling… we are in trouble. This is bad news…" Manager Lan immediately said after hearing Ma Liling's voice on the other line.

Hearing that it was a piece of bad news, Ma Mian frowns as she did not know the situation yet.

"Tell me…" she said with a serious tone.

"I will send it to you…" Manager Lan said as she sent a couple of pictures on Ma Mian's phone.

When she saw the pictures, Ma Mian frowns and did not say anything. But a hint of anger could be seen in her eyes.

This is because the picture is very ambiguous and it is showing that she is having a close relationship with that man. Plus that man is actually carrying her while walking as if they are the only people in the world as it expertly removes the other figures in the picture.

"I already explained what has happened to our CEO but still the news has already gained traction and has erupted into a scandal… your scandal." Manager Lan said with a tone of helplessness.

"The PR team is already forming our own counter-attack… I think we could turn this table around… But still… your reputation…" Manager Lan said feeling a bit sorry.

Ma Mian was thinking for a bit, as her sight landed on the man behind her who is still busily talking on the phone. Then a gentle smile appears on her face as she suddenly had an idea. Since this happened, and it is unexpected, why not grab this opportunity to rest for a while? These thoughts entered Ma Mian's mind and decided to go with this line of thought.

"I will leave everything to you, Manager Lan. But I think I should take a rest for a while… Since I have already finished most of my schedules, right?" Ma Mian said with a smile on her face.

"Ah… You… What are you thinking?" Manager Lan seems to have caught on Ma Liling's line of thought and wanted to berate her talent.

"Let the news die down for a while…" Ma Mian replied.

"Alright, alright, let's do that then. I will tell your decision to CEO Yi."

After dropping the call, Ma Mian turns around and looks at Yu Bai. She has already decided to act the part of a loving housewife who would serve her husband at home. This thought seems to make her feel excited. Plus she can now have more time for her mother.

Ever since she became a celebrity, her time is really constrained that she barely has time to spend with her mother. Luckily she was able to get a nanny to take care of her mother, if not…

With this thought, Ma Mian feels a bit excited and walks closer to Yu Bai.

Sensing that his wife is coming closer, Yu Bai's tone immediately changes.

"Sir, don't worry I will report later and try to fix the problem…" he said and then ended the call.

When he turns to his wife, he is already showing a loving smile on his face.

When Ma Mian saw him smiling, she suddenly froze on the spot. This is the first time that she saw his handsome and confident smile. He always acted shy and reserve every time they are together, so this is the first time she saw him looking like that and it made her feels like she just lost her breath for a while.

Sensing that his wife seems to be dazing off, Yu Bai slowly walks closer and suddenly hugs her waist.

"You seem to be dumbstruck by my handsome looks…" Yu Bai suddenly said as he wanted to plant a kiss on his wife's lips.

But the expression on Ma Mian's face suddenly changes, and this made Yu Bai realized something. He suddenly, let go of her waist and lowered his head acting a bit shy.

"Sorry… I… I was just trying to… to do what my colleague told me at work." He said trying to justify his actions.

Hearing his words, Ma Mian patted her chest and seems to heave a sigh of relief.

"You scared me… I thought… I thought you were a different man…" she said.

Hearing this, Yu Bai's shoulder drooped lower. She truly does not trust those domineering men and is afraid of them. Yu Bai's feelings feel a bit complicated. He is not domineering when it comes to his wife, yet at work, everything is different his employees have already named him the cold devil.

And he is afraid that if she would somehow discover it someday, their relationship would sure change.

"I hope that she would not leave me if she knew who I truly am…" he thought as he slowly lifted his gaze towards Ma Mian.
