* Turning To Mary Ann*
Mary Ann did not want to respond to the lady's letter a few days ago. She, too, had feelings for the young Princess but was too afraid to express them.
She was upset and kept recalling the letter she wrote after informing the lady that she had been proposed to. Her mother noticed her upset while she was thinking.
"What is it my dear?" Mary's mother inquired. "It's nothing mother, I kept thinking of my marriage with the young baron, he is a friend since childhood but I don't consider him as my lover, isn't there a way to break this proposal?" Mary replied. "I don't know dear, I'm in no strength and helpless."
While they were talking, Mary's sister stormed off in rage, leaving both of them perplexed.
"What happened to her?" the mother inquired.
"I really don't know mother, she was fine with me when I came but suddenly after my proposal was called, she was angry," Mary replied.
"Please go check on your sister," the mother instructed, directing her to pursue her sister.
Mary could hear voices near the barn as she went to find her sister. It was her sister, and next to her was the baron's son himself. They were hugging and comforting one another.
Mary was overjoyed that this would be a great opportunity to end the relationship.
She jumped, startling the lovers.
" Sister!" Cried Mary's sister who got in shock
" Are you two perhaps in love" questioned Mary
The baron was finding difficult in finding words to describe, but then her sister sheild him "Yes, I am in love with Jacob and I loved him ever since we were young, Please cancel this marriage or well elope"
As her sister thought she would get scolded for defying the baron's words, she closed her eyes thinking her sister might scold her and she charged but instead gave a huge hug to both of them.
" Then that settles it,you be the bride" said Mary
" What?" her sister questioned as both she and the baron were confused
So, after consulting with the baron and Mary's mother, they agreed to marry the two lovers. Mary, on the other hand, was ecstatic to return to the Canterbury house and speak with the lady, even though she had no idea how to respond and had decided not to reveal that she would accept her proposal as lovers and stay as friends.
As she was determined to tell Lady Elsa, when she returned, she went to check on her but discovered that she had fainted and was in bed for a couple of days. She was not to be bothered.
As the maid assigned to Lady Elsa, she begged the maid to let her stay by her side because she knew how to care for a sick patient, and the head butler agreed.
She could feel her breath and her lips were like crimson as she tended the lady, rubbed the lady's sweat, even though she never put on make-up, and in fact, she looked more beautiful in her natural look.
She got goosebumps as she looked closely at the lady's face and kissed her on the forehead.
"My lady, get well soon."
The next day, the lady awoke unexpectedly, and she went to call the doctor to check on her. As she waited, she noticed that the lady's face had changed and realized that the reason for the lady fainting was when she mentioned in the letter that she had been proposed. She wanted to tell her that it was a misunderstanding, but she decided it was better to keep it to herself and not think about Lady's affairs because she might lose her job if it was discovered that the lady loves her maid.
Though she was happy when she was called and assigned to work in the main house, she couldn't help but think of the lady. Back at the lady's house, when she learned that Mary had not been proposed to, she rushed out to meet her and bring her back.
She saw Mary Ann working as she rushed to the main house and admired her, but she had second thoughts about meeting her. Mary Ann saw the lady as she was about to work on the chandelier and rushed to her without thinking.
"My Lady," Mary Ann said as she saw the lady but abruptly stopped thinking about the thing, but as she saw the lady, she appeared to be pleased to see her.
""Oh Mary Ann, I see you've been promoted; how do you like working there?" inquired the lady. "It's been great, my lady!... I'm well compensated, and I enjoy walking through these halls; it's like a museum full of surprises "Mary cheerfully stated
Lady Elsa was pleased that Mary preferred to be here rather than in the lady's room.
Mary observing The lady's smile made her want to kiss her, but she was nervous in front of everyone.
"Mary Ann, it's been a while since I've been in these halls; would you like to accompany me and only me on a tour?" inquired the lady.
"Certainly, My Lady," Mary Ann replied as the lady dispersed the maids.
Mary Ann and the lady were discussing what to say as she gave a tour. Both were awkwardly trying to find words to say. Lady Elsa fell in love with Mary Ann while she was giving the tour. It was finally evening while there were wandering around the house.
"Thank you for the wonderful tour of the house, Mary. Though it is unfortunate that I must depart now, "lady Elsa stated
"Thank you for visiting My Lady, I hope to see you soon," Mary bowed, but Lady Elsa hugged her and she felt the warmth of her heart beat and soon rushed. Mary Ann stood there, surprised and delighted.
Lady Elsa thanked Mary as she escorted her to her house, while Mary looked at her and smiled even though she was upset and left. She ran and stopped the lady before she left.
"Mary!, Mary!, Mary!" "My lady!" she exclaimed. Mary was taken aback when she turned around and saw the lady running towards her. She quickly grabbed hold of her when the lady caught out of Bret and led her to the lady's room and handed her a glass of water. As she drank, the lady held Mary's hand and looked into her eyes.
"Mary Ann," I say. "Yes, my Lady," Lady Elsa exclaimed, and Mary responded, "Do you want to come back and work with me?" The lady expected Mary to turn down the offer, but she instead hugged her master.
"Yes, My Lady, I can't leave without you; you're like a sister to me," Mary said.
Lady Elsa, seeing her maid in tears, breaks down and hugs her. They looked like real sisters who had been separated for a long time when they were reunited.
Mary Ann was overjoyed when she was asked to continue serving Lady Elsa after a few days. They may not be able to confess each other but the greatest friendship between them can't break their bond.
