Dirga ran into Andien, who had been transferred to the ICU following surgery. As tears streamed down his cheeks, he kissed her forehead. His kiss swept across her face which was unhindered by medical equipment.
Dirga stood next to Andien, silently holding hands and gently rubbing his wife's head. The man only gave a sad stare. His heart continued to pray, hoping that what he was going through was just a bad dream.
He recalls Andien's habits, which he had only recently discovered. Andien, who always sleeps peacefully, will switch positions at predawn. She would open her eyes briefly, close herself to Dirga, softly kiss his lips, then place her head on Dirga's chest, hug him, and fall back asleep. Every night, at the same time.
"I'm sorry, honey... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I should be the one who is lying there. It ought to be me!" Dirga said softly before leaving Andien at dawn.
