Chapter 9 - Birthday Party

Adrita's Pov.

I quickly ran to Sophia's room and sat down in her bed. Ethan is so handsome and hot.

He looks like a model from magazines. He is handsome but he is so arrogant.

He doesn't have manners. He talked so rudely with me.

"Where are you lost?" Sophia's voice rang in my ear.

"Nothing." I said and went near her to do her makeup.

"Is your burned neck still paining?" She asked.

"Not much. BTW, who is the guy in the right corridor?" I asked.

"The guy in the right corridor? Ohh, are you talking about Stefan? He is my cousin." Sophia said.

"Ohh." I said.

"Why did you asked?" She asked.

"Actually when I was coming with the coffees, I forgot the way of your room. I went to the right corridor and went into his room. Eww! He is so shameless. He was flirting with me. Somehow escaped from him. Then I ran and bumped into your brother." I said and did her makeup.

"Perfect." I said and gave her the dress and matching accessories.

"Now go and wear the dress." I said and she went to change.

I did a light makeup and tied my hair into a messy bun.

"How am I looking?" I heard Sophia's voice and looked back.

There she was, looking like a Princess.

"You are looking perfect." I said and hugged her.

"Thanks. What are you waiting for? You also get a change in your dress." She said and I nodded.

I wore the gown and wore my heels. Then I wore the matching accessories.

I have to say, I am looking beautiful.

I came out of the changing room. Suddenly my heels got stuck at the bottom of the dress.

I lose my balance and fell down with a thud.

"Aahh" I screamed.

"Oh my God! Adrita, are you okay?" Sophia came running towards me and helped me to get up.

"Are you hurt? Should I call a doctor?" She asked.

She is very worried about me.

"I am okay." I said.

Thank God! My head isn't bleeding.

I looked at my dress, it was torn very badly. Oh shit!

Sophia also looked at my dress.

"Don't worry. I will give you one of my dresses." She said and went to her walking closet.

After a minute, she came back with a white dress. She gave me the dress.

I looked at that dress carefully. It's a strapless mesh dress.

"I can't wear this dress. It's revealing if I wear this dress I will look like a gold digger bitch." I whined.

"Are you out of your mind? Say that, you will look super sexy in this dress. Go and change." She said and my cheeks heated up.

"I don't want to look sexy. Give me a decent dress." I said.

"I do have some decent dresses but they aren't suitable for the party. The guests are already here. I have to make my entry. Hurry up." She said and pushed me into the changing room.

I stripped and wore the dress Sophia had given me. In the previous dress, I was looking beautiful but in this, I am looking freaking hot.

I blushed hard looking at myself in the mirror.

"Adri, come soon. We are getting late." Sophia said.

"I am coming." I said.

I opened my bun to free my hair so they could cover my bare shoulders. Thank God, my hair is long.

This time slowly I walked out of the changing room. I fake coughed to gain her attention.

She looked at me up and down.

"You are looking damn hot." She chirped happily.

"So many men are going to stare at you tonight." She said.

I huffed hearing her.

"Don't tease me. I don't want to grab anyone's attention." I said and combed my hair.

"Come, let's go downstairs." She said and we get out of her room.

We were coming down from the stairs and I saw that many guests have come. They all are looking so rich and they are dressed so gracefully.

Suddenly, I felt I don't belong here. In the last step of the stairs, my feet twisted and I fell on someone.

Today is very unlucky for me. That person holds my waist in a tight grip.

My one hand was in his shoulder and the other one was clutching his shirt in a tight grip. I looked up to see who the person is.

The person was none other than Ethan. Why it always has to be him?

He was looking at my eyes deeply like he was searching for something. Then his gaze went to my neck which was bandaged.

He touched my neck and I winced in pain.

"Don't you think, our first meeting was very painful for you? Think what will happen next?" He said and gave me an evil smirk.

He gave me a push and I stumbled on my feet, then he went away.

"Did he gave me a threat? Why?" I asked myself and looked at him.

He was talking to Stefan. Someone hold my shoulder and nudged me.

"Why are you standing here? Come with me." Sophia said and dragged me with her.

I saw that many men were looking at me and I smiled at them awkwardly. Sophia took me to her mom.

"My both daughters are looking so pretty." Mom said.

"Thank you, mom." Sophia and I said together and kissed her cheeks.

Suddenly, I felt someone's deep gaze towards me. I looked around and saw that Ethan was looking at me with rage, I looked away from him instantly.

"Mom, why dad isn't coming today? Is work more important than me?" Sophia asked mom.

"It's not like that, Sophia. He wanted to come but he got stuck in work." Mom said.

Sophia got sad. Mom looked at her sad face.

"Don't be sad. A big surprise is waiting for you." Mom said smiling broadly.

Before Sophia could ask anything the lights went off.

Then we heard someone's voice.
