Léonard Dumont, a 16-year-old French teenager and geek of the SCP Foundation's myths, one day receives a notification on his computer from the SCP Foundation Management System. His duty is to build the SCP Foundation has The Administrator of the Foundation. This story is a mix of several canons of the Foundation. Mix everything with our own real world to add a weight of realism to all this. This is my very first story, I hope you will enjoy it and I am open to all criticism and comments.

Chapter 7: "The Exit from the Darkness"

Chapter 7: "The Exit from the Darkness"

The cool night air of the forest greeted the members of Delta-4 as they emerged from the cave, their bodies exhausted and their equipment bloodied. Their faces were marked by fatigue, and their uniforms were torn, evidence of the fierce battles they had fought against the SCP-939. Their headlamps flickered in the darkness, casting ominous shadows on the surrounding trees and rocks.

At the cave's entrance, the surviving GIGN members had set up a temporary command post. The French team members stood ready, their gazes fixed on the dark forest, awaiting the arrival of reinforcements. When Delta-4 appeared, a shockwave passed through the GIGN. The Delta-4 members were carrying the bodies of their fallen comrades, as well as the captured SCP-939 specimens, including the Alpha, immobilized in a reinforced electric net.

Sergeant Mathieu Dupont, still stationed at the entrance, approached with a look of surprise and concern. "What the…?" His voice trailed off as he saw the state of the Delta-4 members, covered in blood and debris.

Despite his exhaustion, Captain Marceau made an effort to explain the situation. "We had a violent encounter in the cave. The SCP-939 were numerous and highly aggressive. We lost several men. Here is the Alpha, the one commanding the others."

Dupont, trying to grasp the magnitude of the situation, nodded as he looked at the captured creatures and the bodies of the soldiers. "I've never seen anything like this. You've done remarkable work." His voice carried both admiration and fatigue.

Captain Marceau nodded in acknowledgment. "We now need to file the report and prepare for the evacuation of the specimens. We'll provide details once the situation is under control."

At that moment, the MTF Commander, Watcher, took the initiative to contact Overlord for a status update. The radio crackled before the Commander's voice echoed through the forest.

"Overlord, this is Watcher. We have completed the operation in the complex. We've secured the Alpha and captured several SCP-939. We've suffered significant losses, with three of our team members fallen in action. The area has been cleared, but the losses have been considerable. We request evacuation of the specimens and management of the bodies."

Overlord's response came quickly, directly from the SCP Foundation Management System. Notifications began to scroll across Léonard's screen, delivering news and results of the operation.

The director of Site-35 contacted Léonard to organize the evacuation of the specimens and the necessary reinforcements to clean the area and manage the captured anomalies. The director's voice was firm but respectful.

"Hello, Administrator Gauthier. I am the Director of Site-35. We've received the information regarding the operation. We are preparing to send reinforcements to assist Delta-4 in the evacuation of the specimens and the cleanup of the area. Thank you for your excellent work. We await your instructions for the next steps."

As Léonard received these notifications, he felt a wave of satisfaction mixed with exhaustion. The operation's results were gratifying, but he knew new challenges awaited him with the management of Site-35 and the supervision of future missions. The calm of the forest contrasted with the intensity of the events, and Léonard was already preparing for his next responsibilities as Administrator of the SCP Foundation Management System.
