It doesn't take long for Luan to open another portal to his grandfather's office and take his new friend with him. Luckily, the office is very spacious, much to the surprise of his grandfather, who stares at Luan and the demon guard dog in disbelief. He puts his hand to his head:
"Stubborn child, as usual you never listen to what I say..."
Luan arrives smiling, because he knows he's going to get a lecture from his grandfather, but his grandfather is right, he doesn't seem to listen to him, he comes asking:
"I need a spell to help me hide it..."
But his grandfather interrupts him:
"Luan, that's a guard dog demon, probably from some prison or district, its job is to always be on guard, because it has powers, it doesn't need guards, how did you get one of those?"
Luan has forgotten for a moment that he's talking to the former time conjurer, he'd better find a good excuse for this whole situation, a very quick one.
(Damn, I forgot that he must know a lot more about the Districts of Hell than I do, I can't talk about how I went to visit the District, I know).
"Oh, we were on a DSO mission at the Hell Gate, and we ended up bumping into him, and he ended up entering my gate...hehe"
His grandfather scratches his moustache, because it seems that some information is not right, he knows that his grandson doesn't usually do something reckless, he could probably lie, because he knows Luan is always hiding something, but he must have a reason:
"Apparently you don't intend to return it to its rightful place, right?"
Luan nods, confirming that he won't be returning it, and the demon is now sleeping while Luan strokes it, this leaves his grandfather puzzled too, how something so supposedly fierce and imposing, is acting like a tame dog, well he decides that it might not be a bad idea for him to have a watchdog, or rather a demon watchdog, he takes some books from his extant, and some notes and shares them with his grandson:
"Ok listen up then, do as it says here, you'll need a collar with an enchantment, but you need to remove this one first, somehow this collar that was holding him was broken, thus breaking any possible control over him, this type of demon has a free spirit, but they are constantly imprisoned so that they can use their powers, that must be the information you'd like to know, Luan?"
Luan paid attention to his grandfather's words and his explanations, and yes, that was exactly the information he needed:
"Hnm, so that means I can keep him, I knew something must not be right about him, his neck is badly hurt, this collar must be bothering him somehow, I'll think of another incantation that won't hurt him."
His grandfather Han has some kind of healing ointment and he hands it to Luan. After all, his "new friend" has just looked suspiciously at his grandfather, indicating that only Luan can get close to him, Luan calms him down by saying:
"All right, buddy, stay calm, after all that old man there could end up with me and you together, we're no match for him."
Grandpa Han grumbles:
"What a cheeky boy, he looks like his father when he was younger..."
Luan looks at him curiously, what would his father Luke have been like when he was younger, but that's a story for Old Times, Luan finds another way to make an incantation, and removes his old collar, his new pet friend seems to be comfortable and safe now, so he just makes an incantation that protects him from possible aggressors, so the incantation can only be broken by the same person who created it, Luan makes another spell to disguise him to look like an ordinary dog, his wings are temporarily hidden.
