Scarlette, on the other hand, paid no attention to her surroundings as her crimson lilac-colored eyes only looked down at the person who tried to hurt her companion in an unfair fight.

'As I expected. My instincts tells me that this man smells trouble, to begin with. Fenix's rage earlier is similar to [those people] that I have killed before.'

Scarlette thought as she noticed the visible black veins on Fenix's neck and that confirms what the crimson-haired woman was thinking earlier.

'No wonder that whenever I saw this person at the guild, there were dark forces that he's emitting around him. No matter how hard he tried to hide it, I can sense it.'

She thought and clenched her fists to restrain herself from killing this man on the spot but she's not that crazy enough to execute someone in the public, even if she wanted to.

'It's not the right time to deal with [those people] yet. Since Fenix wield that kind of power, for sure that a [certain person] is now watching this scene somewhere else. If that were the case then, I'll use Fenix as a bait for now.'

With that thought, the crimson-haired woman stared down at Fenix, who stumbled on the ground because of the impact and the man didn't dare to look up to meet Scarlette's crimson lilac-colored eyes.

Fenix, on the other hand, felt shivers down to his spine because of the bloodlust that the crimson-haired woman was emitting, and he is being affected by it.

'W-why is she here?! D*mn it! I can't win if I happen to fight this woman!'

Fenix thought as he cursed mentally because he didn't expect that Scarlette would suddenly interfere, and knowing the personality of the famous crimson-haired adventurer, she is the type of person who wouldn't bother to intervened in someone else's business.

He is still on the ground trembling and not meeting those terrifying crimson lilac-colored eyes of hers.

"Fenix, what do you think you're doing right now?"

Those cold words coming from the crimson-haired woman makes him trembled even more and wanted to step away from where he laid upon.

Ryan, on the other hand, looked at the familiar silhouette of the crimson-haired woman who just interfere, and heard that familiar cold voice coming from her but from his perspective, Ryan could tell that Scarlette's words holds a much more meaning to it.

'More precisely, it's a threat.'

He thought as he looked in the direction where that guy named Fenix stumbled down on the ground and didn't dare to meet Scarlette's gaze, but Ryan noticed that this Fenix guy was shivering in fear in front of Scarlette.

'What's happening? Earlier, this b*stard wanted to beat the hell out of him and now he is cowering in fear because of Scarlette?'

He thought as he frowned for a moment and then, he looked back and forth between Scarlette and Fenix, but Ryan noticed something else.

'I know that this woman had some reputation as the highest rank adventurer but the way this Fenix guy is so scared of Scarlette is something else that seems to bother me for a moment.'

Ryan thought as he walked over and stood beside the crimson-haired woman and looked at her.

"Where did you go anyway?"

He asked but Scarlette didn't divert her gaze away from Fenix, but the crimson-haired woman answered him back.

"Inn. Talk to someone." – She said with a few words that Ryan couldn't help but sighed loudly in frustration and as much as he wanted to shout or had an urge to smack the woman's head but restrain himself for doing that since Scarlette isn't much of a talker.

'However, it's frustrating to the point that I want to bang my head on the wall! Can someone interpret her words?! Anyone?!'

He thought as he took a deep breath to calm himself and snapped from those thoughts once more and then looked at Fenix.

Since Scarlette wants to deal with this guy then, Ryan let the crimson-haired woman decides what to do.

"Did you know this guy? He suddenly launched an attack on our wagon, and it got destroyed in the process. He starts to pick a fight with me for some unknown reason."

Ryan asked the woman first about this guy is she knew him and then afterwards, complained as well.

'I just wanted to take a rest since I'm still injured because of the intense fight that I had with Scarlette back in the forest.'

Right now, his injuries haven't healed yet, but he had engaged in another battle by some petty and jealous guy, which makes some of his injuries had worsened in such state and he also received some additional bruises along the way.

'Why do I feel unlucky all of the sudden?'

He thought and he sighed in a tired manner.

"An adventurer and a party leader. Work with their group during subjugating missions. Had a reputation for bullying novice adventurers."

Scarlette said nonchalantly that made Ryan snapped from his daze and for this one, he managed to catch up what the crimson-haired woman was saying.

"Wow! He sure had a reputation like that! No wonder that he attacked me without reason."

'Also, it seems like Scarlette spoke more than just a few words, unlike her typical speech from before.'

Ryan looked down at the cowering Fenix on the ground and the bulky man didn't dare to look up when he heard the crimson-haired woman speaks in a cold manner.

Fenix, on one note, still cowering in fear and didn't dare to move from where he is right now as he could still feel those piercing gaze coming from the crimson-haired woman.

'Just by the mere presence of this woman makes me want to sink where I stood right now!'

Fenix thought as he held down his head and didn't utter a single sound as he could still feel the pressure that the crimson-haired woman was emitting at him.

For that moment, Scarlette bends down to align herself with the cowering man below her and Fenix could feel the immense pressure because the crimson-haired woman closed the gap between them.
