It was in that moment, when they were just over twenty feet above the ground, that something unexpected happened.

With a smile on his face, Raijin grabbed Ber by the throat and threw her to the muddy ground below. It was in a region outside Magdal territory but not too far from the main town itself. It was supposed to be a barren wasteland, but it was all wet and full of puddles now, thanks to the storm.
Genta rolled on the ground several times until she lost momentum; she was all covered in mud as Raijin slowly descended before her.
He wiped off the blood from below his nostrils as he looked down at her before spitting out additional blood from his mouth.
