"Then what's the difference between me and a useless person?" Gail Wright looked at Ian Leighton and laughed.
"What do you mean by useless?" Ian Leighton held his head with one hand, "If I say that I'm happy to support my wife, what's wrong with that?"
Gail smiled brightly: "Even if you're happy to support me, I don't want to sit at home and wait for death. Life would be so meaningless that way..."
Gail saw that Ian still wanted to say something, so she softly laughed and snuggled into his arms, her voice gentle: "I know you care about me, and I'll take good care of myself for you, too! Whatever I can do within my abilities, I'll do it myself. I promise that if I can't handle it, I'll hire an assistant and won't force myself! Is that okay?"
