I smiled like I usually did when I was interested in something. People often called my smile a bit weird, so I usually tried not to smile, but I couldn't control it no matter how hard I tried. I took a deep breath to maintain my composure. I was in the guild, surrounded by many strong people, so I needed to avoid acting suspiciously.
I left the guild, as there were many things I needed to do before sunset. I needed to be fast to collect as much as I could since the start of the game is the most important.

'That should make me a little faster,' I thought.
I ran toward the first location I wanted to visit. It was a huge wall in an alley that no one walked into. 'I think it was this one.' I reached out to a loose brick in the wall and pulled it out.

Hidden Rewards were one of many hidden elements you could find in [Doomed Fantasy]. [Doomed Fantasy] is a game where you could find hidden items in places nobody would expect. A normal gamer might say that having many hidden overpowering items might make the game easier, but as a [Doomed Fantasy] top-ranked player, I could say that this game would be literally "Unplayable" without these hidden items.
I grabbed the sack of money inside the walls. It wasn't much, but it was enough for me to spend the night in a tavern. However, that wasn't it. There were still six more hidden items I needed to collect before sunset.
I dashed toward the next location. It was a potion shop that wasn't quite famous in the area, but as a new player, I could use this shop to my advantage.
I walked inside the dusty potion shop and grabbed a D-grade Healing Potion. It wasn't a strong healing potion, but a simple one could save me in a dire situation. The problem was that this potion cost half of the money I had, but I knew a way to get it for free.
"Hello, customer, how can I help you?" said the shop owner.
The shop owner was a chubby man who couldn't catch me if I tried to run away. Of course, I didn't want to steal for many reasons, and one of them was Karma. Karma was a hidden luck system in this game, which made it so that the more bad stuff you did, the unluckier you became. Many people think that the karma system isn't real, but I know damned well that Karma was real, since I suffered because of it more than one could imagine. And, of course, I didn't want to end up in jail.
"I wanted to buy a D-grade health potion. How much does it cost?"
"It's 2 gold coins per bottle."
It was expensive for me. But I knew something really important: the shop owner was a gambling addict.
"I have 5 gold coins with me, so I thought we could do a simple bet. A simple coin toss, and whoever wins gets their reward fairly. If I win, I get this bottle for free, and if you win, I'll pay double. Would you like to do it?"
"… Haha, it's been a long time since someone asked me that question. Very well. Which side are you picking?"
"Head."
I knew that gambling was a bad move and there was a chance I could lose all of my money, but I needed to rely on my luck since the future was filled with many hardships, and I needed to survive.
Cling—"It seems like you lost. It's a tail."
"Damn it."
I handed the 4 gold coins to the shop owner with a sad look on my face. I wasn't happy since it wasn't good for me. But I thought of something right after I left the store.
"…Wait, [Reset]," I said.

[ Restarting From the Recent Checkpoint ]
I suddenly appeared inside the guild again. It was shocking to me no matter how many times I did it. Before leaving the guild, I checked my [Status Window],

'I guess it's really reset,' I thought. In the previous round, I added one point to agility, but now it was 10 again. I quickly brushed aside the useless thoughts in my mind and dashed toward the wall.

I repeated the exact same actions, grabbed the coins inside the walls, and ran towards the shop.

I eased my mind and entered with determination. I grabbed the potion and asked the same question,
"…so which side are you picking?" said the shop owner.
I replied with a confident smile on my face, "I choose tail."
Cling—the coin was moving in the air, and I was confident that the answer would be tai—"Sorry, my guy. It's Head."
I was confused by the change in outcome. I turned angry since the result wasn't the one I anticipated.
"Fine, [Reset]."

I did everything that I did, all over again.

And lastly, went into the shop again.
"…which side are you choosi—?"
"HEAD."
"Okay?"
Cling—the coin was dancing in the air, and I was looking forward to the outcome. I was a little impatient, but most of all, I was excited, 'to think that my unique skill is working this well,' I thought.
"It seems like it's your win. You can have the bottle."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
I got out of the shop hastily. I felt great about that, but it wasn't the time to enjoy. I still had 5 more items to collect.
It took me less than 7 hours to collect everything, and I only used [Reset] for the potion shop, so everything was according to plan. I decided to stay at a tavern for the night.
The items that I collected weren't as special as the "Thief's Stash," so I didn't gain any experience to level up. Now I had 7 things that could be helpful for my future: a dagger, a rusty sword, a D-grade Healing Potion, an E-grade Healing Potion, some clothing, some herbs, and lastly, a single gold coin. I changed my old clothes to the new ones, as the old clothes were torn and weren't good at all.
I grabbed the rusty sword to test something, "[Appraisal]"

Just as I thought, everything was like the game, and with each understanding, I was getting closer to accepting this reality as my new world. Everything was going great, but I had a big problem, and that was the "Main Scenario."
There are 10 different playable characters in this game. Each character has its own sets of skills and behavior, which made the game even more fun. Each character has a "Main Scenario" related to themselves, their families, and their future, which provides them with many opportunities to clear future events. I, on the other hand, wasn't a main character of the game, so I didn't have any main scenario, and that was bad for me.
I knew a lot of Hidden Features and Hidden Knowledge that no one could even imagine, but I didn't know if it was enough for me to survive in this game.
"3 months," I said.
If the date recorded in Save was correct, I had about 3 months to prepare for the upcoming events. I could just do nothing and see what would happen, but I didn't want that. After all, this world was my favorite game, which saved me in my past life.
Before I went to bed, I checked my body in the mirror that was inside the room, "I genuinely look like a 15-year-old, huh?" I was happy to get a new young and healthy body. I knew that if I were a noble, all of the ladies would kill themselves for my dark hair and eyes.
