23: Visiting a magical world.

Seeing the vast scene that was the Omniverse again, Samus and Ciri couldn't help but make some surprised faces, there was always something interesting to see in all that huge scenery, but now they couldn't spend much time looking at it because they were already reaching their destination.

Soon, they were approaching the world of the Magical Godfathers, but before they 'entered', so to speak, both women felt something holding them and pulling them to a strange place, all without being able to help it.

"Wow, I knew we would meet the most powerful being in this universe, but couldn't you be more polite?" the annoyance in Samus' tone was palpable, all directed at the being in front of them.

In front of Samus and Ciri was a conglomeration of constantly spinning white clouds, the whirlwind in between was blue, and although it was incredibly huge, covering the entire sky of the strange place they were in, it didn't seem threatening at all, in fact the two girls could feel a sense of apology from the titanic being.

"I'm sorry, travelers, but I had to bring you here, otherwise your sudden appearance would alert my counterpart the Darkness, and wreak havoc in the universe before its time," a female voice, full of love and tenderness, could be heard in the minds of both of them, something that scared Ciri a little, she didn't like having to face such powerful creatures, much less that they could get into her head so easily.

Samus, on the other hand, smiled complicity as she analyzed the words of this being, seeing its peculiar form and paying attention to the content of what it said, she understood that she was seeing something amazing.

"You are the Light, aren't you? A kind of being with the classic duality of light and darkness, interesting" Samus liked mysteries, and knowing that the series of her childhood had many things hidden beneath what was shown was certainly something that interested her too much.

"That's true, but it's all for balance, after all, before creation comes destruction," Samus sensed that the Light was referring to something, but she didn't remember, she was more excited to be in front of this being than anything else.

"You are a massive conglomeration of magical power!" exclaimed Ciri, who calmed down enough to scan the Light in front of her and realize that her magical power was insignificant compared to the massive amount possessed by the being in front of her.

"Yes, I am all the magic there is, I have always been there, my current appearance is just a way to present myself to you without harming you, after all, you are not strong enough to see my true form," it was a little painful to have a huge storm of white clouds tell you that you were weak, but it was something they both knew, so they didn't pay much attention to it.

"So, are we staying here or what?" after using several talismans and T-Path to scan as much of the strange room she was in as she could, Samus asked this question with a bit of urgency in her tone.

"No, someone will greet you when I send you to the magical world, forgive me," the being said.

"What are you sorry for?" Ciri's question was answered as she and Samus felt something grab them, this time with much more force, and everything went blurry for a moment until their feet felt the hard contact of the earth beneath them.

"Damn it, Light!" shouted Samus, causing the beings floating in the air to look up at them.

Yes, Samus and Ciri were appearing in the middle of a magical street, attracting the attention of the surrounding fairies, who seemed to have not touched the ground in millennia. These beings exuded pure magical power, and their eyes were filled with curiosity as they watched this human curse.

To them, Ciri, who possessed a considerable amount of magical power, was just another magical being, separate from mere humans and more like those powerful fairies or those holiday figurines.

"Look, this human appeared after a glow of light," said one fairy, causing the others to murmur among themselves.

"It's rare to see humans here, and she looks very old, maybe she'll lose her magical godfather soon?" said a female fairy.

"I don't know, that magical being next to him doesn't look like one of us, he doesn't have a crown or a wand, just these human clothes," said another fairy.

It was true, that Samus and Ciri were wearing normal clothes, so to speak, since they were going to a modern and not-so-dangerous world, at least on the surface, they decided to wear casual clothes so as not to attract attention.

"Could it be an incarnate holiday? Or a genie? I hear genies are cute!" said a male fairy, who seemed enchanted by Ciri's beautiful face.

"MOVE!" a loud voice with an accent reminiscent of a Russian trying to speak English echoed, causing the fairies to move aside to make way for another of their own, only this time it was a very different one.

Dressed in military fatigues and carrying what looked more like a staff than anything else, he appeared. A huge mountain of muscle, his face was serious and his white hair was rather short, adding to his intimidating presence.

Jorgen Von Strangle was not your typical fairy, he was the Supreme Fairy, creator of the rulebook, and the strongest member of his species. The magical power he exuded was simply overwhelming, even making Samus sweat a little, but a smile of fighting intent appeared on her face.

"Girl, I know you're a guest, but if you keep smiling at me like that, you'll get what you're looking for," Jorgen said, thundering his neck and giving Samus a similar smile.

Jorgen's magical power seemed to soar into the sky, causing tremors throughout the magical world and even creating black clouds that began to emit lightning bolts, but Samus did not flinch, deftly resisting the pressure the High Fairy was putting on her.

"Well, you have an excellent will," the man said, before calming her power and restraining her to the point where she only looked like a normal human, but the small crown on her head was an indication of her magical nature.

He looked at Ciri, and after studying her for a few seconds he nodded, recognizing the strength and potential in the young woman, she was still very green in his eyes, but that could change. Ciri reminded him of his youth, and the fact that they had similar hair colors helped that identification.

"You must be guests of the Light, come with me, I will give you a tour of the magical world, and then you will decide what to do next," Jorgen simply turned and left, not waiting for them to catch up. He was too busy dealing with problem kids all the time, he had no time to waste.

"A little intense, don't you think?" asked Ciri, and Samus nodded.

The two had followed Jorgen through the magical world, which looked more like a city than anything else. They saw the houses where the fairies lived, the shops, and even the giant antenna that provided magic for everyone, although Samus had her doubts.

How could a simple antenna allow a being as powerful as Jorgen to emerge from among the fairies? Rather, the antenna seemed to emanate something more than magic power, an ethereal, indescribable energy that Samus had never encountered before, so she used the T-Path to scan it, but got only unreadable readings.

"Don't try to guess what it is, child, it's beyond your mere comprehension, and it could hurt you," Jorgen reminded her, noticing Samus' actions.

"Like what, exactly?" asked Ciri, intrigued, she never thought the energy from an antenna would be dangerous to her or Samus.

"It can cause you to become deformed and insane, you will chase something you cannot reach, something you cannot obtain no matter how hard you try, it will become not only your obsession but everything you are until it consumes you." Jorgen's grim words sent shivers down both girls' spines, but Samus remembered something, no, someone.

Professor Denzel Crocker, the comic relief of the classic series, is a man twisted and driven mad by something all but a few believe to be unreal. The urge to pursue the magical even led him to commit crimes that were seen as humorous in the cartoon, but Samus seemed to understand something, her possible end if she wasn't strong enough to investigate.

"Then I'll get stronger," the blonde said, making Jorgen nod, he felt the young woman's fiery will, maybe she wasn't as special as Ciri, but sometimes things take much longer to shine, he hoped that was the case.

"So what do fairies usually do?" asked Ciri.

"Well, we have a lot of activities, our long life makes us bored very easily, so we try to do a lot of things to keep ourselves distracted.

Television is an interesting thing, you know? Humans have a lot of creativity, they even have something called anime, which is very entertaining. But outside of entertainment, fairies come down to the human world to fulfill the wishes of their godchildren" Jorgen led them to a park and sat down on one of the benches, then they sat down next to him.

"Why grant children's wishes?" asked Ciri.

"We don't grant children's wishes, not all of them, just the really unhappy ones. The negative emotions of human puppies are very powerful and can cause problems.

Fairies are assigned as magical godparents to these children so that they can gradually overcome their unhappiness, and when they reach sufficient mental maturity, they will be separated from their godparents.

Their memories will be rewritten, the wishes they made, the adventures they had, all of it will not be forgotten, but modified to fit a more appropriate, happier childhood, thus becoming functional human beings." the Supreme Fairy's explanation of the magical godparent system interested the girls, but Ciri still had her doubts.

"Children are so volatile, how do they control themselves?" Ciri's question made Jorgen frown before he shook his head.

"They are children, they do not control themselves. The rules I have created are not only to limit their desires but also to teach them life lessons.

They cannot wish for money, they must earn it through their efforts. They cannot wish for someone to fall in love with them, love is not something that can be manipulated like that, you have to earn it. You cannot wish for cheating, it is your effort that will take you far, whether in sports, exams, or even video games.

But they always find loopholes, you know? Kids are smart, and they will not hesitate to take advantage of any loophole they can find. There was a girl once, I wished for something simple, but it changed the whole history of mankind. That girl caused the First World War," Jorgen finished, leaving Ciri and Samus to ponder his words.

While Samus knew this because she watched the series in her past life, Ciri did not, and with what she knew of human history, at least Earth's, that a girl was the cause of one of the most terrible wars humanity has ever suffered, she saw the consequences of power from a certain perspective.

It made her think about her situation, because of her, conflicts and wars are being waged in search of her blood, not even her body, all they wanted was her lineage. Ciri understood more than ever that her power was not just an advantage in battle or magic, but something more, a responsibility, something she had to do the right thing with.

"Is there a boy or girl who has made a strong impression on you?" asked Samus, knowing the answer.

"Oh yes... let me tell you about the infamous Timmy Turner," Jorgen's voice deepened as he remembered the last foolish thing that child had done, which is a pain in the ass.
