Sinda sat in the bar full of drunken men and ominous characters all by herself on a table, it seemed like no one really cared about the emperor's warning to stay inside and there where barely any soldiers in the streets people had given up hope.
She had to rest here as she had no other place to go. Her cloak covering most of her face and no one seemed to see her. She had to accept it she had lost her adopted son Hissori and he didn't even know he was adopted. She couldn't bring herself to face Nelen at a time like this. Sinda knew Nelen was in good hands now anyway.
There was also another less ominous but attention drawing person in the bar it was Redkill Ricker he was staying at the inn next door and it didn't take long for people to challenge him to arm-wrestles and drinking contest he was the centre of attention in the bar.
People all around stood circling him and that's what seemed to be the entertainment for the night. Sinda sat alone tired and sadden trying not to think of the past. "This seat taken Demon carer" Sinda looked up and there she saw a man drunk to the brim and a sinister smile it was the announcer who announced Hissori's death two more drunken guys stood next to him.
Sinda looked to the side and didn't say a word and looked away from the drunken men staring at her with huge smiles "Yeh that's right we know who you are demon carer if you don't want trouble come along outside" They laughed at what the announcer whispered in her ear.
"A slut like you shouldn't sit by herself, she should have her face in the dirt with the rats where she belongs" The announcer signalled to the two men to escort her outside near an alleyway in the dark. Sinda had no choice she had to be low profile and couldn't draw attention to herself and besides the announcer might know someone information about Hissori no one had seen the execution so she still had hope that he might be alive somewhere. Sinda got up her hands in her cloaked pockets.
Ricker looked across towards Sinda's table while finishing his last colossal beer but no one else did something was off. Outside in the alleyway Sinda stood facing the men, they signalled with their fingers for her to turn around and that's what she slowly did. One of the men slowly pulled her hood down.
The announcer pulled out a small knife holding it in his hand and smiling sinisterly.
The men next to the announcer hesitated at seeing the knife "Sluts need to be dressed accordingly…hmmhmmmhmm" The announcer said getting closer and breathing on Sinda's neck when he pulled her hair back and cut it short which she had grown long for fifteen years now. Sinda did not hesitate still having her hands in her pockets.
"Shouldn't be talking to women like that!" Ricker stood facing them all in the alley he knew there was trouble "Get outta here this slut is taken" The announcer yelled licking Sinda's ear. "I don't think I can do that moron!" Ricker shouted standing his ground.
"Are you DEAF or do you need a beating to understand" The announcer yelled will smiling sinisterly he signalled towards the two other men they walked up to Ricker clenching their fists. Ricker touched the stone wall next to him from one of the buildings with his hand, as on his hand there was his mastery. He channels his orange aurued Sei into his hand and shouted "Torimazeru!!"
His entire body became stone the material. One of the men punched Ricker and broke his hand in the process bits of bone flying of Ricker's stone face. Ricker leaned into to the other man and head butted him cracking his skull. The announcer looked up at the result of the fight he hesitated and this made Sinda have enough time to push the announcer back and punch him straight in the face knocking him out cleanly.
Sinda got fixed her clothes and put her hood up walking away from the announcer she didn't even know who Ricker was nor did she look at Ricker "I didn't need your help stranger". Sinda proclaimed plainly walking past Ricker "Maybe a thank you would be nice! I did just save you!" Ricker proclaimed walking past one of the men on the floor he saw a glimpse of small things crawling towards the men almost like small spiders.
"Who were those guys anyway?" Ricker asked in confusion to why she wasn't happy she saved her life. "People I needed to get answers from" Sinda said bluntly not looking at Ricker and walking away.
Then it happened... the atmosphere felt thick and suffocating Sinda and Ricker stopped walking and turn around to the sound of the two men and the announcer in the alley getting up murmuring something under their breath. "Infect...all.." They whispered walking towards Sinda and Ricker in a zombified motion.
Meanwhile in the infirmary the bodies of citizens, Doctor Hideyo and nurses were on the ground except the people who were already possessed. All at once they stood up even Doctor Hideyo all of their eyes diluted in a turquoise colour walking like zombies saying "Infect... all... "
It seemed like everyone who was possessed in the Western region got up and walked like zombies trying to find something and saying the same exact things "Infect…all…" Sinda ran towards the middle of Avalon Hillside by the massive fountain in the darkness Ricker followed behind her he wanted to see what was going on.
There sat two people one women dressed in silk and portraying her beautiful looks grinning it was Sayomi and another in a cloak head down so you couldn't see his face. One stood up it was Sayomi
"So you humans haven't been possessed yet" She pointed at Ricker and Sinda. Ricker and Sinda looked at each other they both knew something wasn't right something was off about the two people near the fountain they both had deeply coloured turquoise eyes.
"I am a bit peckish Hekekeke… Ohhh that ones got quite a lot of Sei stored up don't you" She pointed at Ricker and sinisterly grinned. Ricker reached for his twin daggers on his waist.
"Seems like you don't know who I am!... LET ME SHOW YOU!" Ricker shouted towards them.
Sinda stood back she had to observe before she did anything. Sayomi licked her eye with her long, horrible tongue and signalled to Hediki to move towards both of them.
