Dahlia didn't release her hold on his neck immediately. She was still entranced by his gaze that was settled on her lips. Her heart was thundering fast within her. What was this she was feeling? She wondered. She wasn't sure but this felt like… lust. The air around them suddenly felt thicken and became electric.
It was only by sheer willpower that Eder tore his gaze from her lips.
"shall we?" he whispered. Dahlia snapped out of her trance. She let go of his neck and stepped back taking sometime to clear her mind.
Eder opened his car's passenger door for her. Dahlia looked up and glared at him. She couldn't believe that he was literally kidnapping her and she was willingly following. She already said she was coming, so she had no choice. She walked over to him and climbed the car.
"don't make this a habit" she warned him and climbed in. Eder closed the door gently and smiled
"that's exactly my intention" he murmured walking around the car to climb in too before he drove them away.
The ride was quiet but tensed. The tension was due to the high level of lust in the air. They both brought their windows down to get fresh air. Dahlia tried to imagine what kind of celebration was awaiting her. She had imagined half naked women with smoke and alcohol and many… well she shook the thought away.
After a while, the reached the restaurant. Eder was fast to open the car door for her offering her his hand. She took it and he helped her out of the car. Then he led her into the restaurant.
Dahlia was pleasantly surprised, but she quickly got a hold of herself and she kept a straight face. Their was nothing she had imagined. It was just both of them. The whole restaurant was reserved for them and they were going to dine on the terrace of the restaurant.
The terrace was made of a wooden floor and was overlooking a lake. Their was a table simply set for two with two little candles on it. The moon gleamed gently over the water, and gave the overall effect a romantic vibe.
"is it up to your liking?" she heard his deep voice in her ear. He was bending over her from behind and trying to assess her reaction.
"let get this done with" she said and walked over to the table. Eder smirked and followed after her to pull her chair. He had seen a little tiny smile appear on her face a while ago. Too bad it disappeared very fast. Once she was seated, he sat across her and they were served food.
Instead of eating, Eder just sat there watching her like some admirable precious stone. His gaze made her feel uncomfortable. After a while she was unable to keep up and decided to speak.
"did you bring me here, just to watch me?"
"partly yes"he replied simply with no hesitation
"so there is another reason"
"yes, I have a very important question to ask you" he said looking very serious.
"so I guess since your researches didn't give any result, you decided to ask me directly" It was more of a statement from her part.
"no, I will know everything there is to know about you eventually, when you will be mine" he shrugged casually as if it was already an evidence and he was sure that she will be his at the end.
His confidence made Dahlia perplex. What was wrong with this man? She wondered. Maybe the quantity of woman he had in his life got to his head and made him this confident. That must be it! Else he wouldn't be so confident like this.
"I already told you that I am not part of your hunting games. You won't add me to your list" Eder chuckled lightly. Then his expression turned serious and intense.
"that we shall see" he smirked with confidence. His smirk made Dahlia feel flustered.
"what is your question?" she decided to change the topic.
His gaze suddenly turned to something intense and serious laced with hints of deadly intents, which had Dahlia narrowing her eyes as she expected it to be really serious if he had to react this way.
"are you single?"
Dahlia was basically a secretive and reserved person. It was hard to even see her around and much more to have a picture of her somewhere. It was even impossible. So if she had a man in her life it was most likely she would also keep it low key. Though Eder was sure that if their was a man who had this goddess for himself, he would never keep it down. Eder himself was sure that he would want to brag about her to the world. So he was quite convinced that there was no one. none of those coward men were able to handle this goddess. However, he better be sure so as to not have any surprise. He had to know if he had to get rid of someone before he could have her just for himself. Thus he was here asking this question.
"w-what?" Dahlia stammered stunned at his question. Where the hell was this coming from now? She expected many things but this.
"I said a-"
"no!" she stopped him, she had heard his question a bit too well even and she didn't want to hear it again. "I heard that. What I meant is what is the point of this question?" Eder leaned forward on the table , his intense gaze never freeing hers.
" I need to know if I have to get rid of someone before I can make you mine"
Dahlia was once again rendered speechless. Could this man ever stop surprising her? She could only look at him with raised brows and a perplex look on her beautiful face.
Eder tilted his head slightly to the side.
"so?" he spoke waking her from her stunned state. "who is the man I have to get rid of?"
Dahlia looked away from him feeling heat rise to her face. She looked down so her hair could help hide her reddening face.
"there is no man" she said with a small voice. Then she felt a hand under her chin,it raised her face up and she was caught in the trap of his gaze again.
"what did you say?" he asked as if he didn't hear what she said at first. "can you say it again?"
Dahlia felt pulled by his gaze, it was as if he was compelling her. This was insane because, she was the one with compelling powers so it should be the other way around.
"there is no man, in my life" she heard herself repeat and saw a breathtaking smirk spread on his lips. She felt his thumb on her lower lip, caressing it slowly.
"not for long" he whispered slowly. Dahlia felt his move send a jolt of electricity through her body and something stirred awake in her, making her body turn hot. Damn! No!
