Chapter 63
"Am I dead?"
Henry wondered to himself, as his eyes opened slowly to see the glass shattered all around him. The smell of burning silver filled the entire vehicle. The fact that he was still breathing had to mean that bullet hadn't been for him.
"Cade did you…" he was cut short in his words, as he turned to his right to see that Cade was pale and lifeless, with a hole in chest from the bullet. "No… Cade…" he tried shaking him, but the coldness and stiffness of his body dissuaded him from having any hope of any sort.
Henry felt terrible, and indignant as well, as he blamed himself for the death of his friend, who had always been doubtful of the plan from the very start.
But then, at the same time he blamed Alpha Charles's men for wreaking such havoc, and he was about to transfer the aggression to Queen Leila, who was still seated behind and between the two men at the back.
