Sasha huddled behind cover, panic gnawing at her as the events in front of her unfolded with nightmarish speed. THUMP, THUMP. The abrupt appearance of Mika's firearm and the relentless subsonic bullets took her completely off guard.
The power went out, and the warehouse was plunged into darkness. Knowing the profile of the Rogues, Sasha quickly pieced together their intentions. In a trembling voice, she relayed orders to all the forces present.
"Fall back to the Bearcats and turn on your lights! They've got the night vision advantage!"
Panic and confusion had settled in. Agents who had been caught off guard by the Rogues were swiftly silenced with precision headshots, their suppressed weapons making it nearly impossible to determine the shooter's position.
As Sasha struggled to regain her composure, the agents inside the warehouse streamed out, regrouping with forces that had arrived in response to the emergency. The assembled task forces held a quick debrief, sharing the shocking revelation that their adversaries were the notorious Rogues.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, fear permeated the ranks. Negotiations were initiated through a megaphone, urging the Rogues to surrender, but 15 minutes passed with no response.
Preparations had been made. The joint SWAT team, now armed with night vision goggles hastily obtained from the police armory, was ready to assault the warehouse.
However, chaos erupted once again as the eerie silence was shattered by strange whispers and subdued THUMPS in the distance. One by one, bodies fell, and the ground was soon littered with casualties.
Multiple subsonic shooters hidden in the shadows targeted agents and police officers, picking them off with lethal precision. Panic and desperation drove officers to return fire, but their shots merely scattered into the void.
Little did they know the Rogues had activated the sleeper agents in the area.
The chaos intensified, and the distress calls grew louder and more frantic. The radio traffic was a cacophony of cries for help, shots fired, and reports of downed officers. Even the most experienced SWAT members were overwhelmed.
Refugees retreated to the safety of the bulletproof Bearcats, while the grim reality set in. The situation was dire, and they urgently called for reinforcements.
In the midst of the pandemonium, the mayor of Los Angeles contacted the governor of California, requesting the mobilization of the National Guard which was granted.
Amidst the pandemonium, Sasha's radio buzzed incessantly. The air was filled with a barrage of shouts and panicked voices, a cacophony of officers seeking cover and firing blindly into the inky blackness.
"Officer down!" came the panicked cry from one of the SWAT members.
"I can't see a damn thing! Where are they?" another agent shouted, his voice wavering with fear.
A siren blared in the distance, adding to the disorienting chaos.
"Stay with me!" a frantic voice cried out, the desperation evident.
Suddenly, strange THUMPS echoed through the night, and the deafening sound of explosions filled the air. The Rogues had resorted to launching grenades with astonishing precision. Each explosion caused more mayhem.
Then, as the grenades began to detonate, the battlefield turned into a nightmarish warzone.
The explosions sent shockwaves through the agents' ranks, and screams of terror mixed with the cacophony of warfare. The deadly chaos continued, each blast erasing a piece of hope.
"Get a medic over here, quick!" someone yelled.
THUMP, THUMP. The muted sounds of grenades being launched from the darkness seemed to come from all directions.
"We need backup now! We can't hold them off like this!"
The chaos mounted as Sasha struggled to stay coherent, her thoughts fragmented by the fear and destruction all around her. The deadly silence that followed the storm of violence only intensified the terror.
Sasha looked at an object in her peripheral about 20 feet away to discover a grenade staring back her.
It exploded and she became incapacitated and started losing consciousness
As the battlefield became a chaotic and deadly inferno, the eerie calm once again descended. All the law enforcement officers and agents were either wounded or lay lifeless on the ground. As the city's cries for help grew louder, black SUVs rolled into the scene.
Exhausted and injured, Sasha's consciousness wavered before fading into the darkness.
Imagine... This would be nuts right?
