Rodent Supreme

Today I found out that you could die by sneezing wrong. Too bad it was a first hand experience, turns out the human body is really poorly designed. First I was crippled by sleeping funny now I got done in by a sneeze.

The what now? The voice came from nowhere and somehow it sounded wrong. It didn't sounded like it came from a human mouth at all, i couldn't even tell if it was the voice of a man or a woman. What exactly was Batera I did not know but before I could think much of it the voice continued.

So I either lose my humanity or my memory? Wow that is a hard choice to make. Without my memory I am basically someone else but to be reborn as a monster is a bit.

Can I at least know which type of monster will I be?

If it is based on that then I probably would a great monster. The life I have lived was quite an extraordinary one afterall.

You know what I'll take my chance as a monster. Losing my memory is basically losing my identity, losing myself, it will be like I never exist at all. I might as well be a different person and the thought of that scares me more than becoming a monster.

Besides I'm not that attached to my humanity, not after the incident. Who knows I might become a really powerful monster like a dragon that lit the world on fire and with my human knowledge the thing I could achieve would be immeasurable. I will be the most superior lifeform and become the god of the new world.

The warmth of a womb, the constricting and claustrophobic womb. Though return to me sooner than I thought, instantly I knew where I was, I have yet to be delivered. My body was still not completely formed, I don't know how I can even think right now but I'm doing it.

All I see was white, which was wierd since I am fairly certain that most creature weren't birth with open eyes. Wait it that!. On the corner of my eyes I could see the words:

What! What the hell is Rat rat!? Also fetus? Am I going to be reborn as a rat? This isn't what I had in mind with the whole reincarnation sthick! What happened to the whole reborn as a monster? Wasn't I supposed to the overpowered monster that toppled nations by farting in their general direction?

On hindsight I really should have just had my memory removed, I'll atleast be able to live as a normal person and not as a Rat rat. Seriously what is a Rat rat? Am I a two rat in one? a two headed rat? This is some cosmic level bullshit. And wasn't our rebirth supposed to be influenced by the life we lived? What exactly was it that I do that made god or whatever is in charge decides oh he'll be perfect as a Rat rat.

I swear I will have my revenge, this is a promise I made as fetus god! No, you don't deserve to be called god, your a dog. You know what not even a dog you a cat, a filthy dirty cat cat. If me being reborn as a rat is my personal hell I'll drag you down here.

Wow, I didn't realise a fetus can be this angry. But my anger is more than justified. Still I need calm down and plan ahead, if a Rat rat isn't some sort of abominable monstrous rat I could end up dead before anything even happened. I don't really want to live as a rat and death might even be welcoming but I will not die not until I get my revenge.

Let's look at that spread sheet again and not focus on the Rat rat part. Let's see.

Oh were going with my old name, I thought we'll be going new world, new life, new name. Eh whatever. Also most of the stats are empty not 0 but empty. As a fetus that makes sense. There is a mana listed there so I take it that magic exist as well, now that is the one thing that I actually like in this new life of mine. If magic exist and I can actually use it than the down side of being a rat is significantly diminished. I'll show that cat cat the power of a rat rat mage.

My intellect and will stats actually have a value which make certain sense as I'm currently thinking and showing signs of will power. Though both being so low in number is quite disheartening, is intellect at 12 points enough to make a creature sentient? Without comparing it to others I don't know how high or low it is. If it is low it would mean that alot of monsters in this world are sentient, so I'll definitely have to watch out for that.

What does the skill point do exactly? I mean there is a skill stat seperately, but how exactly do you use it. System take me to the skill menu.

In a flash the skill menu actually did show up. At least it's easy to use. Let's see what's in here:

That's it? Isn't that just normal rat activity. How is any of these useful, they might as well put splash in there. I only have one skill point so I can only choose one, will i still be able to do the others, if I don't take the jump skill will I be incapable of jumping all together? If I don't take bite than no biting? Or is it more of a power bite and power jump. That must be it, doesn't make sense otherwise.

I'll take bite, the others look good but to level up I need to kill and amongst them bite seem to have the biggest potential for killing.

Oh! The skill stat update instantly. Wait! Skills have levels. That means you can upgrade them, probably by using them alot. I don't think you would need to kill to level up skill otherwise skills like climb and squeak would be stuck at level one making it meaningless to have level all together.

Looking at the skill I saw the word listed below it, right ability. I don't know how skill and ability differ but having both is good. Unlike skill there is no ability points listed here. Can I still chose it? System show me the ability menu!

OHHH!! Very nice! That's what I like to see. Too bad I can only choose one, I'll need to be careful. Hmmm.... Let me think. I want something the is versatile, something that can be used both in and outside combat. Preferably one that can be exploited by the knowledge I already have.

Let's see chaos, arcane, phantom and void are out I don't really know anything about them, it's too risky to choose any of them. Water, wind, flora, life, mind, light, time, space and gravity are also out, they all sound powerful and I bet they actually are too but they also look like they would need a long time to reach there full potential. I want something that can be useful from the start. Stopping time for a split second isn't going to help me, teleporting a few meters isn't going to let me kill anything and increase the weight of other by a single digit percentage wouldn't do me any good.

I can imagine just how powerful they could be but I'm gonna start at level one, I need something that can be useful at that level or I might be stuck at level one forever and I want to avoid that at all cost.

Let's look at the remaining... Ice, electric, death, poison this are all good choice. Wait! Flesh! I want this! Forget my earlier statement I'm all tomorrow-ing the cat cat bastard.

After confirming my choice another list shows up.

Just this two? Dammit! The one I'm looking for is not here. Calm down Adrian getting emotional isn't going to help and who knows maybe it's because of my low level.

I'll take flesh stack! It could really stack up and I don't need to fight to become stronger just scavenging for a few corpses will make me stronger. Low effort leveling at its best! Just the way I like it.

Now what's left? Evolution points.. Do I evolve? Before I am even born? Well I don't see the harm in that. Let see them evolutions.

What. It's just a list on body parts. Oh.. wait I choose the body part I want to evolve. Hmmmm... Let's go with muscle yeah why not.

Another list shows up this time it's how I want my muscle to evolve. And just like before the list is nearly limitless, scroll down, down, no, not this, not this one either. [Condense muscles], [Rapid muscles], hmm isn't there one that just make me stronger. Condensed muscles looks good but as a baby, not so good. Oh here it is [Monstrous muscles], I don't know how monstrous a baby rat's muscle is going to be but this is going to be good.

With my evolution confirm I feel drowsy and I fall back into unconsciousness. Beware world the double rat cometh.
