I wake up to the cheerful chirping of birds and wonder if I put on some ASMR before bed. A quick check of my phone and a glance out the expansive window of my luxurious room confirms I didn't. Looks like sparrows aren't extinct here after all. The view of the well-manicured garden and the distant murmur of a fountain adds a tranquil touch to my morning.
After a lengthy routine of bathing and skincare—got to keep myself gorgeous if I want Villain Sama wrapped around my finger—I slip into the new uniform I had the maid fetch for me yesterday. Why a new one? Well, firstly, I wanted it to be more form-fitting so all eyes are on me—staying in the shadows is not in my playbook. Secondly, looking good is a priority. The uniform, a deep navy blue with delicate gold trim, fits like it was tailored just for me.
Heading downstairs, I learn that the original Faye's parents are still asleep. "Bee-weewee ah! Do you think I'll have a sister or a brother? What if it's twins? Can I bring one back with me to my original world?" I chatter in my mind while making my way through the beautifully arranged breakfast spread. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sizzling sound of bacon make me feel like I'm starring in a morning commercial.
"Host, I read your file and saw your IQ is 298, which is why I was so thrilled to take you on as my host. But why are you acting like a complete airhead? Is a baby some kind of souvenir you can just pick up? Did someone hack the system to mess with me?"
I consider telling this cute system that I'm just using it for my own amusement. Probably not. Yet.
Burping contentedly, I head to the flashiest car in the garage and ask the driver to take me to my prey—Villain Sama's place. The car, a sleek, high-end model with gleaming chrome accents, sparkles in the sunlight. It's noteworthy that Wilde hasn't lived with the main family since he was 12. If that's not proof of his power and independence, I don't know what is.
"What are we doing here, young miss?"
I ignore the driver's probing tone and reply casually, "I'm here to pick up my boyfriend, of course!" It's hard to keep a straight face as his eyes widen comically. He doesn't even try to hide his shock as he whips out his phone and starts typing furiously. There goes another message to Mr. and Mrs. Lozero about their rebellious daughter and her new fling.
Speaking of flings, "Ayy Bee-weewee ah, how long do I have to stay in this world? Can I bounce after I've made Villain Sama a law-abiding citizen?"
"Host can leave this world at any point, but if the mission fails after the host has left, the host will face penalties accordingly," the system chirps in my head as I sit in the original Faye's car. The leather seats are surprisingly comfortable, and the air conditioning is perfectly set. Why am I waiting, you ask? I don't have Wilde's phone number and don't know exactly where he lives, but the original Faye once overheard Caden say it's around here. So, I'm hoping either I spot Villain Sama or he spots my flashy car.
I want to make the most of my time with Villain Sama and transform him into a model citizen. Sometimes even I don't understand how I manage to be so kind. Sigh.
"With how fond you all are of doling out punishments, I'm convinced you're into BDSM. You're not planning to make me your sex slave or something, are you? Because let me tell you—WILDE! Here!" I finally spot the handsome silhouette of Villain Sama and immediately get out and run to him in my five-inch stilettos. The pavement beneath my heels makes a satisfying click.
All the money in the world couldn't get me to cling to a man if I don't want to, but it's pretty fun right now. I get to enjoy the driver's embarrassed face and Wilde's annoyed expression that he's desperately trying to hide.
