Chapter 003 Ninja Academy

Menma turned four years old recently. His parents enrolled him after they noticed he was capable enough. However, his mother warned him not to graduate early out of fear of him being sent to the battlefield. He passed the entrance exam easily.

Menma sat among his peers, watching them and waiting for the teacher to arrive. A chunin entered the classroom after a few minutes.

" Hello, I am your homeroom teacher. My name is Kashin Yuri. We will be together for the next few years or until you graduate. Except for any extra classes you wish to take," Kashin said to them and smiled innocently. Only Menma knew what he was thinking about torturing the children with studies.

Kashin asked them, "Now, please introduce your names and what you want to become in the future."

"My name is Kota Uchiha; I want to become an elite Jonin in the future," one kid stood up and said at that time. Menma looked at him and saw the usual Uchiha arrogance in his body language and eyes.

"My name is Sayori Hyuga; I want to become an elite Jonin in the future," a girl stood up and announced at that time. The Hyuga girl did not want to be left behind by the Uchiha boy. "Wait for another four months, till you learn to extract chakra from your body. After that, within two months you can start learning E-rank jutsus from me. Basics are very important in a ninja battle," Kashin Yuri told them without any hesitation. The children were eager to learn ninjutsu, especially the civilians. So they were a little disappointed by this delay.

'Basics are important; if you improve your basics, the improvements decide your future rank,' Menma thought to himself.

"There is a lunch break in a few minutes. You can have lunch anywhere in the school or out here. Don't drop the food on the floor," Kashin said to them. After all, they were all children in his eyes.

The window is his computer's way to give him the feeling of progress. However, he is not overwhelmed and this system helps him improve. Instead of numbers, he can see his mastery level. His mind computer has accurate deduction ability to choose the right training. His memory bank, keyboard function and even his old mobile connection are improving along with his computer. He has no shop, no storage but there is a chance to create a storage by using sealing method on the computer.

Menma could see his progress after looking at it. However, when he noticed the Byakugan was present in the progress bar, he was slightly stunned by it. Soon, class started again. Kashin began lecturing them on Genjutsu. Menma took the notes and memorized it himself. Soon, the class ended, and Kashin took another class on Chakra and Ninjutsu. The normal school day was over. After the classes were over, many students ran off without asking about the special class. Of course, everyone was tired and everyone wanted to go home.

Kashin was arranging the materials for his lesson when Menma arrived, one of the very few students who had come to ask about the special class.

"Sir, you mentioned a special class. When will it start, and what are the special classes? Are there many of them ?" Menma asked him seriously. Because he was the smallest and youngest, the teacher paid special attention to him.

"You are very young for some special classes. Sealing techniques theory and lessons, Advanced Illusion theories and techniques, Ninjutsu specialist and lessons, Barrier techniques lessons and Medical knowledge and techniques are after you have enough chakra. And you have just joined the Academy. You can attend these classes on higher levels on different days. As you are young and don't have sufficient chakra, you can attend other two special classes on Basic sword mastery, and Study of Human body weakness and how to use it with Taijutsu or other weapons. There are advanced lessons on Sword mastery, but that is after you learn to use your chakra. Not everyone can take the advanced extra lessons; some people drop it as they cannot progress afterwards. But they make more progress than those who don't take it. We don't force anyone as they can learn from another instructor afterwards, even after they become Genin. But those who are interested get a solid foundation from these classes." Kashin explained it very clearly. He hoped that this small boy could join extra classes which didn't require chakra for now.

"Does each special class have a separate exam? Are there only two special classes for those who just entered the Academy? Do they require separate fees? " Menma asked some of his doubts. Kashin looked at the boy and sighed from his heart.

"No, the separate fees are not required, as the village needs specialists in various fields. However, since the students in the special classes are less, there is no need to charge money from their fees. There is a third class which is on Taijutsu specialist which was started by Mr. Chen. But, till now, very few students have entered the class. And some of them dropped out in the middle. He also has advanced Taijutsu class, but only one person took it. And it can be applied to later levels. And they hold it at separate times, so you don't have to worry about time schedules. There will be a separate exam to see if you have mastered the knowledge to get a pass, so you don't have to worry about it for next semester. " Kashin explained to him.

He has a hunch that this child will take all the basic classes.

"I want to sign up for all three of these classes. When do they start? How do I sign up?" said Menma with an excited expression. Kashin was really surprised to see a student who wanted to learn all the specialized classes he had to offer.

"I will register your name now. You need to tell your homeroom teacher to sign up. The special classes will start after two weeks. Students can join and leave special classes anytime if it becomes a burden to them. This special class has a semester exam in every six months like graduation exam. Once you pass you don't have to take it. Or rejoin the class which you discontinued for some reason." Kashin told him with various clues about leaving a special class is not a problem. He is thinking that Menma will at least leave one or two classes by the second month.

The homeroom teacher Kashin wrote the name of Menma in all three of the special class section.

"Teacher, do we have a library? Can we borrow books from it to read them?" Menma asked this time. Kashin was really concerned about this child's mental health.

"Yes, we have a school library, and you can borrow books from there. You need to register your name and class with the school librarian before borrowing them. The homeroom teacher is really tired after answering so many questions from this kid.

However, he noticed a pop-up window on his computer indicating that he could download the books from the library. He waited patiently for half an hour before downloading twenty books. Afterward, he borrowed three books to take home.

His grandma was waiting for him outside. She didn't ask what he had been doing; she simply took his hand and led him away. She also noticed the extra books he was carrying but didn't ask about them either.
