"Is that Izanagi? Quite an intelligent move!" Kaito sulked, eyeing Obito with frustration. He had been so close to taking him down.
The ground around them was scorched and littered with debris from their intense battle, the air heavy with the lingering chakra of their jutsu.
Obito, having activated Izanagi, knew he was practically immortal for the next five minutes. It would be nearly impossible for Kaito to kill him at that time. His breathing was heavy, and sweat trickled down his face as he stood ready for Kaito's next move.
"Are you using the Flying Thunder God technique?!" Obito stared at Kaito in disbelief, the situation reminding him eerily of the time he was confronted by the Fourth Hokage. Memories of that battle flooded his mind, a reminder of the power and skill of the Fourth Hokage.
"No! It can't be the Flying Thunder God technique!" Obito shook his head, dismissing the idea. "Flying Thunder God is Konoha's highest level of ninjutsu. As a member of the Uchiha clan, you can't learn it!"
Kaito couldn't help but smile, though his eyes remained focused and serious. His Mangekyo Sharingan, "the God's Presence," granted him the ability to see through space and instantly appear anywhere within his sight or perception, with no cooldown time.
The moonlight cast an eerie glow on the battlefield, illuminating the devastation around them.
Indifferently, Kaito said, "They say that experience makes one wiser, but it seems you never learn from your mistakes and end up falling for the same trick twice!"
"It looks like I overestimated you. Besides the five minutes from Izanagi, you seem quite useless!" Kaito remarked, his voice cutting through the tense silence. He was calculating his next move, his mind racing with strategies and potential attacks.
"How can you claim to understand me so well?!" Obito's eyes widened in surprise. His Mangekyo Sharingan abilities were supposed to be known only to him and the late Minato, and he alone knew the exact timing of his abilities.
Yet Kaito had just shattered that illusion at exactly the same moment. Coupled with Kaito's mysterious and unpredictable spatial ability, he now firmly stood among the ranks of kage-level powerhouses.
This realization made Obito hesitate. He suddenly wanted to retreat. The wind rustled through the trees around them, the leaves whispering as if urging him to flee.
"Want to run now?" Kaito's voice was calm yet laced with a challenge, his eyes narrowed on Obito's form. His Sharingan glowed ominously, the red reflecting the seriousness of the situation.
Obito gritted his teeth, torn between his pride and the stark reality of his situation. He had to think fast, to find a way out of this perilous predicament.
