The start of a war

CRACK! The nun could hear her face cave in, her skull cracking under the weight of Hades's punch.

'You're holiness. Today, I faced a devil.' she thought as her body rolled on the ground.

She attempted to stand. The punch had rattled her brain, and she could barely muster strength in her legs.

BAM! [Repulsion] Hades didn't give her a moment's rest. Instead, he kicked her in the chest, lifting her. BLUH! She coughed blood.

Thud! She grabbed his leg, and with her other hand, she swung her second dagger at his eye.

[Wrath: Break] Hades opened his mouth, biting her dagger instantly.

CRACK! The dagger shattered, breaking into hundreds of small fragments. The ability, Wrath: Break, is a powerful one. Based on Hades's wrath and level, it instantly breaks an inanimate object he touched.

The nun immediately realized the nature of Hades's power. He can't break living things.

Thud! She kicked him in the chest, using the momentum to leap backward. CRACK! As she looked down, her shoe had disappeared.

BAM! [Attraction] Lifting his hand, Hades pulled her toward him.

The nun stomped the ground, trying her best to hold, but she soon got pulled in. "You devil, that power," Before she could finish speaking, Hades's punch was racing toward her head.

The nun dodged to the side, getting ready to strike back.

Hades didn't stop his punch or pull it back. He immediately swung his arm toward the nun. His hand touched her chest. [Wrath: Break]

The nun's outfit immediately exploded, revealing a terrifying sight.

Her scared and burn-filled body was hard to look at, with knives and shives dangling from her underwear.

"You bastard!" She growled, but before she could finish, Hades was already standing in front of her.

She punched his face, but he dodged to the side. And then she catches him with a kick to the jewels.

"Look what you have done!" she growled. And then she noticed something strange. Her foot stuck between his legs.

[Attraction] Hades wasn't using his thighs to grab her. It was his skill attracting her foot to his crotch.

Thud! Hades grabbed her foot. In an instant, he lifted her with [Repulsion]

He then swung a backhand fist at her crotch while still holding her leg. CRACK! She could hear her leg dislocate and her hip crack upon the impact. [Repulsion] BAM! Her body got blasted away in a splash of blood.

As the nun fell to the ground, her monsters rushed to her rescue.

She tried to stand on her other leg, 'I must run and inform the church. A devil has been born.'

As she tried to run away, CRACK! Fen bit her broken leg. She fell to the ground as he started dragging her toward Hades.

The monsters tried to swarm Fen and rescue their mistress. BAM! Raptor leaped over the mansion fence and charged through them.

As soon as Raptor reached the nun, he spun around and kicked at her face. CLANG! She managed to pull a dagger from her bra and block the attack. But her body still rolled toward Hades.

Fen and Raptor turned to face the monsters alone. Cael is out, and William is busy fighting his share. Neither Eva nor Gabriella are suitable for such fights.

The soldiers standing at the back shooting their crossbows aren't that strong either. Only monsters could brawl with monsters.

"DIE!" The nun shouted, going into a rage herself. BAM! She leaped, grabbing Hades by the hair and knee-caping his face.

As Hades started falling on his back, a gasp escaped his mouth. With blood dripping from his nose. THUD! Cael appeared by the nun's side, swinging his open palm.

"You again?" she growled, taking another dagger from her bra and lifting it to block and slice his hand.

CLANG! When Cael's hand clashed with the nun's dagger, it sounded more like steel than flesh.

[Slash] Cael pushed downward, cutting right through the sharp dagger with his open palm. A long wound appeared on the nun's body, from her collarbone down to her belly button. Her bra got cut and fell to the ground, robbing her of half her remaining weapons.

"All of you bastards!" she screamed, grabbing Cael by the neck and strangling him.

Mei, the golden cat, rushed behind Cael and climbed his back. SHAAAA! Hissing, she leaped at the nun, biting her throat.

Hades stood, grabbing the nun by the hair. [Repulsion] Without wasting a second, he swung her around like a bag. He then threw her toward William, who killed the last monster he faced.

Mei let go of the nun, gracefully falling on her four paws beside Cael.

"Leave her to me!" William shouted, thrusting his blade at the nun.

BAM! He stabbed her in the stomach.

The fight reached its end as blood dripped on the ground. "The church shall not forget this." She growled as her eyes closed and her arms went limp.

"We don't need you bastards to forget. Those who lay their hands on our children shall not survive our blades." William growled.

William let go of his blade, and the nun fell to the ground. "Take her to the mansion, and don't pull the sword out of her." He looked toward Hades, and Gabriella was already healing him, as Eva was healing Cael.

"Sir, what should we do?" A soldier approached him with a worried face.

"We rest, gather our forces." He looked toward the sky, "This only means war."

"War? A noble family like us doesn't have the right to decide such a thing, and we don't even have the force to challenge the church." The soldier replied with a terrified face.

"A noble family? What do you think, you bastard?" William looked toward the gate, "Raymond Gamorian?"

The city lord was standing with his army at the gate. They have responded to the battle, "What happened here?" He growled.

"The church tried forcefully recruiting your daughter to war. I took it upon myself to take their messenger." William said, walking toward the gate and opening it.

Raymond looked around at all the monster corpses and blood. At the back of his vision, he could spot the soldiers carrying the nun's body inside the mansion.

"Was it the Jailer?" Raymond asked.

"She was hard to deal with." William scratched his head, "We might have lost if not for the talented children."

Raymond nodded, his soldiers worried, "I see. Beating her once didn't suffice." Raymond walked toward William.

"Last year, she came to claim Gabriella as well. But I did pummel her down quite a bit." He sighed, "She doesn't learn at all, nor the church."

"Then what now?" William asked.

"It's war." Raymond patted his blade, "I bet the war the church is having has started from a conflict like this. Let's join and show them what we can do."

There are two ruling powers in the world, royalty, and the church. They never see face to face, unable to reach an understanding. It usually results in a lot of internal wars to spark.

Raymond looked at the sky, "Sometimes I feel like the church is doing this on purpose. Starting trouble with nobles to get them into war with it."

William shook his head, "They only gain death. No one benefits from wasting soldiers' lives."

"What is that mad pope thinking about now? I can't understand his actions."
