Long Chen stepped inside the Palace, finding himself in the hall. There was a shining line in the middle of the hall, going upstairs. He followed the line, wondering if it was the directions to lead to the Royal Chamber. 

He certainly needed that because he realised that he couldn't use his Divine Sense inside the palace. His Divine Sense could only see through a few metres inside the palace. In fact, his eyes could see more here than his Divine Sense could.
