Chapter 58 A Way To Escape The Yellow Forest

At this moment, Leo was staying on top of a high yellow tree, trying to look for the exit of the Yellow Forest.

After finally calming down a while ago, he decided that the height of the trees in the deep part of the Yellow Forest was different from the ones before since the trees from the outer part were short. So, he wanted to find the part of the forest with short trees by climbing on top of a tall tree.

"Ayst, I need to look for a much higher place!" Leo said to himself helplessly. After looking from above, he only saw that all the surrounding trees were of the same height. He could not see any short trees around at all.

Moreover, he didn't dare stay any longer around the top of the trees. Just a moment ago, he had noticed a Yellow Skinned Anaconda, a One-Star-Level Magical Beast, coiling around a stem. Fortunately, he wasn't noticed by the Magical Beast, since he was able to quickly hide behind the yellow leaves of the tree.

Landing back down to the ground, Leo cautiously went to the east side of the forest. He had found a hill nearby while on top of the tree. So, he thought of climbing the top of the hill to look for the short trees, since the hill could provide a much higher view compared to the tall trees.

Along the way, he can't help but feel worried about Cassandra and the others. It is, after all, still nighttime. Though the chances of them being discovered by those people were low, facing a dangerous situation was undoubtedly still high. He truly hopes that they aren't found by those people or have encountered any dangers and will eventually be able to arrive safely at White River City.

While walking towards the hill, Leo always reminded himself to be cautious around his surroundings. After all, he is in the inner part of the Yellow Forest. One wrong move and he might lose his life.

Currently, he is moving from one bush to another as silently as possible to avoid any Magical Beast.

*Mooo!

But all of a sudden a Magical Beast with two great horns and yellow-colored fur, standing on two feet and having a face of a cow, blocked Leo's way to another bush with its tall feet.

Looking at the creature from inside a bush, Leo didn't dare to make any sound or movement at all, afraid of being discovered by such a powerful Magical Beast. He was sure that the Two-Horned Beast was One Star Magical Beast.

In front of the Two-Horned Beast, a Yellow-Skinned Anaconda suddenly appeared.

The Yellow-Skinned Anaconda hissed at the Two-Horned Beast, its voice filled with killing intent, as it glared at the creature blocking its path.

*Shhhh!

The Two-Horned Beast showed a mouth covered with countless sharp teeth that somewhat formed a smile towards the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda in response.

*SHHHHH!

Being enraged by the response, the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda decided to charge straight towards the Two-Horned Beast.

*MOOO!

Obviously, the Two-Horned Beast wouldn't just stand still and wait for the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda to reach it. Instead, it lunged in response, launching itself forward.

*Baaaaang!

A loud sound of meat hitting against another meat sounded loudly throughout the surroundings as soon as they clashed their bodies with each other.

*Shhhh!

After crashing with each other, the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda was the first one to make a follow-up move as it quickly circled its long and large body around the Two-Horned Beast, wanting to trap the latter.

*Mooo!

Unexpectedly though, the Two-Horned Beast was able to quickly lower its head, hence piercing the body of the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda with its two great horns.

*Pluck!

*SHHHH!

The Yellow-Skinned Anaconda hissed painfully as it quickly tried to unwrap its body from the Two-Horned Beast.

However, contrary to the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda's expectation, it wasn't able to easily escape from being pierced by the Two-Horned Beast.

*MOOOO!

The Two-Horned Beast roared loudly while releasing more strength to its body as it slowly raised its head higher, which similarly raised a part of the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda's body up in the air in front of it.

Immediately after, the Two-Horned Beast spread both of its arms, sharp claws suddenly appearing from its fingertips. With a part of the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda's body open widely and undefended in front, the Two-Horned Beast swiftly sent out a wipe with both of its arms, giving ten claw marks on the body of the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda.

The attack didn't just stop after that swipe, multiple swipes soon followed after.

*Swishh! *Swishh! *Swishh! *Swishh!

*SHHHHH!

The Yellow-Skinned Anaconda continuously hissed loudly in pain.

The Yellow-Skinned Anaconda stared full of killing intent toward the Two-Horned Beast before it quickly turned its head around and charged straight toward the Two-Horned Beast's huge body.

While charging, the head part of the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda was suddenly covered in a silver lining.

Following a *Pluck! sound, a hole instantly appeared in the stomach of the Two-Horned Beast, and the head of the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda appeared out to the back of the latter.

*MOOOO!

The Two-Horned Beast roared painfully.

Spreading both of its arms, the Two-Horned Beast claw was suddenly covered in redlining, which was followed by the surroundings turning somewhat hot.

Leo, who is still near the ongoing fight, quickly moved towards another bush, afraid of being accidentally implicated in the mess.

With a swipe from the Two-Horned Beast claws, ten really deep wounds appeared around the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda's body. Blood quickly oozed out while at the same time, smoke from the claws' hotness lingered out of Yellow-Skinned Anaconda's wound, burning and charging its skin.

*SHHHH!

The Anaconda hissed painfully before quickly turning its head one more time. This time around, it turned towards the left chest of the Two-Horned Beast, the location where its heart was.

*Swooosh!

*Pluck!

In the next moment, the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda appeared out from the left chest of the Two-Horned Beast with a beating heart at its mouth. Seemingly showing a smirk on its face, the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda crashed the heart into meat paste.

*MOOOooo!

The Two-Horned Beast roared for the last time.

Soon after, the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda slowly slid its head out from the body of the Two-Horned Beast.

Unexpectedly though, the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda didn't stay for a while to eat the body of the Two-Horned Beast as it quickly tried to escape away from its current location.

Leo, still at the sidelines, had just witnessed the entire battle between the two One-Star Magical Beasts, which lasted only a few seconds. Although he was still astonished by what he had seen, he managed to calm his mind enough to sense something dangerous approaching his location. Noticing the ground rumbling, likely from heavy footsteps, he quickly moved to escape.

After two hours of walking, Leo was finally able to arrive safely at the top of the hill.

Fortunately, he was able to avoid the majority of the Magical Beasts he had to meet along the way to the hill.

Although he was still chased by a few, he was still fortunate enough to be able to successfully escape from them by continuously summoning Wind Elementals to delay them on their way.

The battle between the Yellow-Skinned Anaconda and the Two-Horned Beast was deeply carved in Leo's mind. But as soon as he arrived at the top of the hill, he quickly put aside the thought of the two Magical Beasts as he turned his attention in front of him.

Looking around, he can't help but shake his head helplessly once again.

Although it was still nighttime, it was still possible to see the surroundings because of the moon's bright light. Nevertheless, he was still unable to see any short trees around.

To sum it all up, the area within his view was still covered by a seemingly endless stretch of trees with the same tall height as the one he had climbed up before.

"There are still no short trees around..." Leo sighs helplessly.

He finally realized that his situation was a lot worse than he had imagined. He really can't help but marvel at his running speed. After running for just a few hours, he had actually arrived in such a deep part of the Yellow Forest.

Laying on the yellow grass, Leo stared at the starry sky while trying to think of another way to escape.

Out of boredom, he notices two clouds that are seemingly in the shape of a dragon and a snake. The two Beast made out of clouds were moving opposite from each other.

Suddenly, Leo's eyes lit up brightly as he quickly stood up from laying down the group.

"Dragons are strong while Snakes are weak. The two different Beast will live in a different environment and can't stay close to each other because they possess different level of strength... The weak and strong can't stay in the same environment!" Leo excitedly said to himself. He had finally thought of an idea.

When he was venturing along the way to the mountains, he noticed that the Magical Beast around were different from the outer part of the Yellow Forest. There was no Magical Beast as weak as the Yellow Rat, the Yellow Silver Fur Wolves, and the like around, but only powerful Magical Beast such as One Star Magical Beast Yellow-Skinned Anaconda, and the Two-Horned Beast.

At first, he thought that it wasn't important since it was the natural way of order to keep the balance of things in the wilderness. But after looking at the cloud, he was suddenly inspired.

"The strong Magical Beast would live in the inner part of the Yellow Forest since it's the place where rare and powerful resources could be found, while the weak ones could only helplessly stay around the outer part and scavage for the tiny amount of resources left by the strong Magical Beast since they don't have enough strength to venture deeper,"

"Dragons and Snakes can't live in the same environment, since the former is strong while the latter is weak!"

"If I could find some of those weak Magical Beasts and follow them, I might be able to find where the short trees are. Hence, finally being able to escape from this Yellow Forest!" Leo said to himself in excitement.

After having such an idea, Leo quickly walked down the hill to look for a weak Magical Beast.
