The first set of system messages was as short as it could get. It provided me with just the bare-bone news of what changed. And while that alone gave me enough information to ponder over for weeks to come, right now, this was the least important of my issues. 

"Shit…"

I only managed to smash the autopilot switch with a desperate throw of my hand before a surge of power threatened to wash my consciousness away. And with this surge, a second wave of system messages surfaced, this time nowhere as concise as before.
