ReWorld: The DwarfCat-earedElf

Notice!! A new version of the book has been published with the title... ReWorld: Days of Dungeons from Earth to Moon ...Please give it a read since there are difference in the story. Vier is a 15-year-old Human girl who is a Dream-Holder and carries the Demi-Humans Bloodlines of both the Elf Race and Dwarf Race in her blood. In a world of Fantasy and Magic, being a Dream-Holder means being able to dream the Memory-Fragment of the 2nd-World, a world where only Humans and no Demi-Humans exist Those Dream-Holders would be able to dream the memories of a person's life, a person who they believed to be their self in the past. But Vier, as a Dream-Holder is different. Her dreams don't have memories of a person's life. Instead, her dreams contain the many memories of the 2nd-World fictional stories. And those fictional stories inspired her. She made many things from the things she saw in her dreams and spread those fictional stories to the whole world. But that won't be enough. Seeing and spreading those stories to the world won't fulfill the promise that she made with her friends. Because she promised to have an adventure even greater than those fictional stories she saw in her dreams. She promised to have an adventure that will be worth remembering and telling for more than thousands of years. So even after she was gone, her Demi-Human friends who have much more of a lifespan compared to her won't be alone remembering her. So that their memories won't be forgotten. So that the world will remember them. So that they will be together for more than thousands of years. "...I will show you an Adventure even greater than those stories that I see in my dreams!... ...It will be so great that it will be told and remembered for more than thousands of years!... ...So even after I'm gone, you won't be alone remembering my story, Our story!... ...That is my promise to you, so stop crying and save those tears for two or three hundred years later!..."

Theory Of The 3rd-World

Wale-sensei is gone.

The Headmaster of The Academy of Magic, the Elemental Undine who lives a total of 1157 years, the Origin-Holder who dreams of a world where only Demi-Humans exist, and the person who always makes fun of his students by calling us pathetic.

I watched as he breathed his final breath with a satisfied smirk on his face, and then his spirit traveled to the World-Spirit place.

Until the very end, he refused to believe my theory that our world originates from the world that he sees in his dreams and from the world that I see in my dreams.

That the scenes we see in our dreams are the memories of those two worlds.

That after the world he sees in his dreams collided with the giant World-Fragment, it somehow managed to survive and create the world that I see in my dreams.

That the Humans that I see in my dreams were created based on the Demi-Humans that he sees in his dreams.

That the hundreds of Floating Islands that revolve around our world are fragments of the world that I see in my dreams.

And when the world that I see in my dreams was on the brink of destruction, that world recreated itself and became the world that we are leaving now.

A world where both Humans and Demi-Humans exist.

But I never dreamed of the scene about the destruction of that world not even among my other Dream-Holders friends. What we dream about is the life of a simple person. A person living a simple but peaceful life.

So no matter what I say, Wale-sensei didn't accept this theory.

Even after I presented to him some of the broken scrap Relics we found at the Floating Island of Liber. Even after I said that some of those broken scrap Relics resemble the things that I see in my dreams. All he said was...

"You're the only one who sees what's in your dreams. How would I know that you're not lying?"

"What?... I'm one of your students so at least have some faith in me."

No matter how many Dream-Holders like me said the same thing about those broken scrap Relics, all he would say is...

"I need more evidence!"

"You!... What more other evidence do you need for you to believe my theory?"

Sigh!... Now that Wale-sensei is gone, remembering those times really feels nostalgic. I was mad back then that I wanted to punch him but I was stopped by my friends.

Of course, I will be mad.

As Wale-sensei rejects our theory, all of our efforts in reaching the Floating Island of Liber, all the works that The Adventurers Guild and The Academy of Magic have put through, all the support that the Valkyries, Knights, and Royalties have given us, all of it feels like a wasted effort.

In the end, until his final moments, he refused to accept my theory about the origin of our world.

Damn it Sensei. I know you're just making fun of us by refusing to accept our theory. You know that after you're gone, The Academy of Magic and The Adventurers Guild would accept this theory.

If only my dreams are the same as him. If only I could dream of a scene in which that world in my dreams got destroyed. If that happened, I could slap that smirking face of Sensei and say...

"...That world in my dreams supposedly got destroyed but the place I saw at the Floating Island of Liber resembles the place in my dreams!..."

And if he tries to reason about me as the only one who sees what's in my dreams, I will follow up with a punch on his smirking face.

But I was not able to do that. After all, what I see in my dreams is not the destruction of that world but a place that contains the records of that world's history.

It's kinda of useless since I can't even understand what's written in those places. All I understood were the portraits and objects displayed in that place and the emotions of the person that my perspectives came from.

The feeling of amusement as that person sees the giant skeleton of many creatures, the feeling of interest from seeing those portraits of Ruins, the feeling of calmness from seeing those amazing portraits of colors, the feeling of pride from seeing those unfamiliar objects, and the feeling of sadness from seeing those portraits where Humans were fighting each other.

All of these were the emotions that I felt from the person in my dreams.

If only I could meet a Dream-Holder who dreams of the last moment of that world.

If only there was a Dream-Holder who could understand the words and voice of that world.

If only we could find some surviving Relic in the Floating Island of Liber.

If only the people who used to live on those Floating Islands leave their records.

If at least one of those things had come true, I would be able to break that smirking face of yours, Wale-sensei. I guess you're right to call us pathetic...

...BAMM!...

"Ordin-sensei!..."

While I'm reminiscing my memories with Wale-sensei and looking outside the window of my office, one of my assistant students, the Half-Elf Ms. Misato, bashes the door and enters the room in a hurry.

"Why are you in such a hurry, Ms. Misato? What happened?"

"Huff!... Huff!... Misaki... oneesan!... Huff!... Huff!... The Exploration-Team!..."

"Calm down first and catch your breath, Ms. Misato. I won't understand what you're saying if you don't speak properly."

"Huff!... Huff!... Huff!..."

"Now tell me. What happened to the Exploration-Team that went to the Floating Island of Liber?"

"Huff!...The Exploration-Team that went to the Floating Island!... Misaki-oneesan!... Huff!... Huff!..."

"What happened to them?"

"They did it Ordin-sensei!... My oneesan did it!"

"Did what Ms. Misato?"

"They found a box!... A box that contains the surviving Relics of the Floating Island of Liber!"

Hearing that news made me involuntarily stand from my seat and slam my hands on my table. And in my surprise, I even raised my voice to ask the most important question.

"How many Relics did they find, Ms. Misato?!"

"More than a dozen surviving Relics, along with something that looks like a journal and records, Sensei!"

Finally! It finally happened. All of our work was not a wasted effort! All of us are not pathetic students!

"Where is the Exploration-Team now Ms. Misato?"

"The letter says that they would land tomorrow at the Port of Liber in the Albus Kingdom."

"Then let's go. Inform every Dream-Holder at The Academy of Magic. We're all going there to decode that journal."

"But none of us can understand those words, Sensei."

"Don't worry, Ms. Misato. If we use all of our knowledge about that world, I'm sure it would work somehow. Let's move right away!"

"Yes, Sensei!"

Just wait for me Wale-sensei. I'm going to gather enough evidence to prove my theory. And once I breathe my final breath and meet you at the World-Spirit place, I will use all of that evidence to break that smirk on your face. Fufufu...
