Birthday Surprise

A few days had passed and it's finally Lucas's birthday. I decided to take a day off today and surprise Lucas at his apartment. He won't be home until 6 pm so I have plenty of time to decorate his place for this special day.

I picked up the birthday cake I ordered at Kelly's Bakery and make my way to buy some wines for us. I stopped by the grocery store to buy a few ingredients. I want to cook something special for Lucas.

After getting all the things I need, I went back to my apartment. I took a shower, and get dressed. Since it's a special day today, I put on a black satin spaguetti strap dress.

I took out Lucas's birthday present from the drawer near the door, pick up my purse, and grabbed the car keys. It's almost 10 am.

I drove my car to Lucas's apartment and parked at the far corner where it is a bit covered by the tree. I don't want to ruin the surprise since Lucas doesn't know I'm here. After getting all the stuff I bought inside the apartment, I hid it inside his cabinet.

Half an hour passed and it's half-past eleven already. I lay down on Lucas's bed scrolling through my social media. I pushed my torso up from the bed. Just as I was about to stand up, I heard someone unlocking the entrance door.

I panicked. "Lucas shouldn't be here right now, " I muttered to myself and ran into hiding. I hid inside Lucas's closet. I have to change my plan. "I'll surprise him from here," I muttered and let out a quiet giggle.

I opened the closet door slightly to see Lucas. What I saw next was beyond my belief. I was stunned. My heart is pounding hard. Hard enough to make it jump out from my body. Hot tears are forming at the corner of my eyes. I covered my mouth with my hands so I didn't make any sound.

I saw Daisy. Her body is so closed to him. They are kissing and his hands touching every inch of her skin.

My best friend is making out with my boyfriend. In his bedroom. On his bed. That b*tch. I trusted her. No, I trusted them. I never thought I'd see their disgusting scene in this bedroom where I used to share my love with Lucas.

I was so furious with them so I decided to record their actions. I'm truly disgusted with all their innocent acts around me but behind my back, they stabbed me. For God's sake, they were having intercourse.

After they finished performing their best scene, I wiped my tears and muted my phone. I texted Daisy and invited her for lunch. She replied to me saying she was busy and she can't leave work. How pathetic. That lying b*tch. Tears stream down my cheeks again. My chest is throbbing.

I was waiting for them to leave so I can come out from my hiding place. Soon after they had left the apartment, I look at the scene they had left. "This filthy place," I muttered. I couldn't look at it any longer as it makes my stomach sick and I wanted to puke.

I wanted to left this place as soon as possible but before I do, I wanted to take pictures as evidence. A short glance made me noticed something under Lucas's bed. It was a gift box. I pulled it out and opened it. To my surprise, it was the tie that Daisy bought last time when we went to the mall. She said it was for her 'dad'. I clapped my hands. What a terrific finding. Another lie she spitted out from her mouth.

I don't know how long they have been doing this behind my back but I was glad I witnessed the scene. "You guys want to play a game with me, then let's play along," I muttered. I call Lucas.

It rang for a few seconds before he picked it up. "Hey, babe. What's up?"

"Let's have lunch together, " I said, clenching my fist, trying to stay calm.

"Sorry, our bistro is a bit busy right now. So I can't leave, " he replied.

Nice acting. He could win an Emmy for that.

"Hmm...Daisy's also busy. No one wants to accompany me for lunch. Are you guys doing this on purpose?" I asked, faking a laugh.

"Uhm...what are you talking about babe?" I can sense his nervousness.

"Just kidding babe. See you at Jenn's tonight. We have a date," I said.

"Sound good? Uh, okay see you then. I love...." before he could finish his sentence I hung up the phone.

This is gonna be the greatest birthday gift for Lucas. I took the birthday present I bought and left his place.

I drove straight to Aunt Jenn's cafe and told her everything. I cried so much, my eyes were red and puffy. I told her about my plan. She told her employees to close up the cafe early and reserve it only for me tonight.

I'm gonna make the biggest birthday surprise for Lucas.
