..."We got some evidences for Mr Delves' misbehaviours. We have gathered some witnesses and by God's grace, Mr Dave will find advantage in court. " Karina replied.
"That's a relief. Secretary Mesa. " He called me. I stood up from my seat and went over to the bed in which he sat on.
"Yes sir. " I replied courteously, but not looking at his face, as I was embarrassed. I thought I shouldn't have kissed him that day, but it had happened. I knew Karina was right. It was fate — everything that had happened.
"I will be discharged today's evening. Go prepare for my discharge." He said.
"But sir, the doctor said you are to rest for two weeks. But, this is just five days sir. " I replied him, now looking straight into his eyes. He stared at me saying nothing. I also stared at him back. Karina was speechless — her eyes moving tho and fro as she looked at the both of us eyes. I turned my eyes away as things were awkward.
"Secretary Mesa, are you worried about me right now?" He finally spoke.
"This man is a nut job!" I thought. I didn't know what to say. Then, I laughed.
"It's not like that sir. It's just that, you know health is wealth. It is normal for me to say something like that as your secretary. " I replied laughing.
"I'm okay now. I want to go home. I miss Dave. I should at least pay a visit to him. Everything is fine though, you don't have to get worried. " He said with a cold face. I didn't say anything. When it was evening time, Hart was discharged. I was relieved, but not really. I would not have to go to any hospital again neither would things get awkward among us any longer. But, work would resume. I only work for him, so, during his time in the hospital, I didn't really have to work. It was my other colleagues at work that had a lot to do. Activities like reviewing books, editing, publishing, writing, signing contracts, and several more. I was lucky that at least I work for the CEO of the company. I knew that things would work out. Dave wouldn't go to jail, our company would be the best company of the year, the Miami book company would go down, and everything would go back to normal.
When I first got employed to the company, I was so incompetent and very clumsy. I didn't do anything right. But, Hart never complained. Maybe, that was why I fell in love with him at first. To be honest, Hart was hot! He was also cool. Despite his flaws, he was still someone that all girls would fall for. It was clearly no surprise that I fell in love with him. To be precise, I wish that day would continue. The day we kissed. He was quite a good kisser. I never got so worked up anytime I kissed a guy but I did when I kissed him. I got butterflies when we locked eyes. My body craving hard for sex. It was just like the male lead and female lead of a Korean movie.
He visited Dave the next day. As expected, he cried. We went together. But to my greatest surprise, I couldn't believe he could cry, that was the first time he would ever cry in my presence. That showed how much Dave meant for him. "It must have surprised you right? Hopefully, I'll find favour in court. Everything is fine Hart. " Dave said looking devastated.
"Sure, it is. It is bearable right? Dave, listen, I don't know what prompted you to do what you did, but always know that I will always be here for you. That is how much I care for you. I will also try my possible best to assist you in all what I can. I think the outcome of the abolishment of the prosecution will be released tonight. I hope it will favor us." Hart replied.
"Even if I got released, I still have a criminal record. I still killed him. There is nothing I can do about that. The autopsy results showed that he died due to the force I pushed him. What can I do about that? The chance that I'll get to live a good life is just twenty nine out of one hundred." He replied.
"I didn't want to interrupt before. But, even the autopsy results might be fake. These people are wicked. You can't give up. I don't think it's possible for him to die due to a slight push if nothing is not wrong with him. Everything might be fake. We have to get to the root of this case before the trial. " I said looking concerned.
"Thank you secretary Mira. " Dave said.

I guessed I had watched a lot of movies. But, I thought such a situation is possible. I've heard of cases like that and I was relieved to have given at least an advice to Dave. He was hopeless. So, I thought a little bit of hope could help. That was what I studied in school — counseling. But, I ended up being the secretary of a writer. Good gracious! I wished the trial had ended. But, time keeps moving and sounding without anything happening.
