Richard's POV
It's already 11:00 am but Daisy hasn't come back. I was really worried for her when I remembered how Ferdinand was so cruel to get people to kill me, and of course, I was scared that he also wanted to kill Daisy. I'm not at all calm when away from her, like something is missing from my life. Two hours felt like days, and I couldn't breathe easily at all.
check...
I immediately looked at the newly opened door, hoping that it would be Daisy but it turned out to be my mother. I exhaled roughly, feeling a bit strange in my stomach.
"Why is it so quiet? Where's Daisy?" She asked as she approached me.
"She went to the police station," I said flatly.
"Freeing Ferdinand..."
"So you released him?" She looked surprised, frowning as she sat down in a chair near the bed. "He could have harmed you again… Even…"
"Mom...." I stopped her. "I released him but on a condition so he won't dare to hurt me again."
