Standing before the white door shape that served as the portal that would take him back to earth, Adam turned and looked back at his friends. The people who had been by his side in his adventure that would make the perfect isekai story. Slowly, he reminisced about what he had been through since that fateful day that had brought him here

*Flashback*

"Fukin' dweeb" said a blond muscled high schooler as he punched the black haired stick figure of a boy in the gut. His friends Milo and Drake held the boy up as he did this and as soon as he was done they let him go flopping to the school bathroom floor. Behind Seth were five other jocks blocking the entrance.Spitting on the boy, Seth, the blond guy, squatted and grabbed theblact hair pulling up the boy. "Next time don't be a freaking snake, got it?" And without waiting for an answer he stood up and left with his friends.

A while later the boy, Adam, pushed himself up against the wall, pulled his knees to his chest and sobbed silently. He wished in that moment. Wished that he could become like the protagonists of the numerous webnovels he had read awakening an untold power and standing up for himself. And at this moment as if responding to his wish a glowing circle with weird characters apppeared around him. Immediately he identified it as the renown summoning circle, something used in a number of manhwa he had seen being used to crossover people from Earth to another world. Giddy with excitement he let himself be taken away thinking of how he too could become like Rimuru.

Following that he went through a series of adventures and realised that he had been stupid. The pain he felt during everything was unlike anything explained in any webnovel. The pain of his limbs missing. The pain of being burnt by dragon fire. The pain of watching his friends die. And the pain of missing home, his mom, and sister. Eventually he found out that he could only go back if he finished the reason for his summoning and so he did.

*End of Flashback*

And now in the midst of the battle field covered with the corpses of demons, his mission finished and the portal spawned to take him back. His allies waved him off and some, after begging him to stay and he refused, left not wanting to see him off. Sadly the portal didn't allow anyone other than those summoned to pass through it. Hesitantly he turned away from them as a single tear fell from his face and he stepped into the portal vanishing from the planet Scalia as the Hero who helped them to overcome the problem of the Demons.
