Nicholas's POV 

"What do you intend to do?" Edward asked me as the bartender brought our drinks.

I needed someone to talk to and he seems to be a safer option to me even if we had some disagreement a while ago.

"What do you think I can do?" I asked.

"Not much actually, even if you have a previous problem with Rafe Bolton there is nothing you can do to keep him away from her.

It's left to Anna to decide for herself" he replied, taking a sip out of his drink.

"What if I find a way to keep him away from here?

He had been out of the country for the past few years, it should take little effort to kick him out again. Isn't it?".

"What  are you suggesting?" Edward asked, frowning and wondering what I was driving at.

I ponder silently for a while.

I had thought things were about to start working between me and Anna until that motherfucker came out of nowhere to distract her.
