The Cafeteria Brawl [2]

Without another word, the mad dog lunged straight at Ren, his fist swinging in a wild arc. Ren ducked just in time, the punch whizzing past his head and smashing into a nearby table, sending food and trays flying high. Ren seized the welcome opportunity, grabbing a metal tray and using it as a makeshift shield. He rammed it into the mad dog's midsection, causing him to stumble back with a slight grunt.

The crowd around them erupted in cheers as the two of them faced off. The mad dog recovered almost instantly, swiping a nearby bowl of ramen and flinging it at Ren. Hot ramen splattered everywhere, but Ren dodged most of it, wiping the rest which got into his eyes.

Ren retaliated by grabbing a handful of rice balls from a table and hurling them at the mad dog's face. "Fetch, woff woff. "

The mad dog swatted them away, growling in frustration.

He picked up a wooden chair and swung it at Ren, who narrowly avoided the blow by rolling to the side quickly. The chair shattered against the floor, and the mad dog, clearly angered by Ren's little sly, grabbed a food tray and used it like a club.

Ren grabbed another chair, holding it in front of him like a shield as he and the mad dog clashed. The sound of plastic hitting wood echoed through the cafeteria. Ren saw an opening as they clashed and kicked the mad dog's knee, causing him to stumble to one knee.

Taking advantage of the momentary lapse, Ren pushed the chair forward, ramming it into the mad dog's chest and sending him sprawling onto a nearby table.

The mad dog, enraged, scrambled to his feet and lunged at Ren again, this time grabbing him by the collar and lifting him off the ground and into the air. "You're dead meat, " he snarled, his grip tightening around Ren's neck.

Ren struggled for a moment before he grabbed a halfeaten bowl of curry from a nearby table and smashed it into the mad dog's face. The mad dog roared in pain, releasing Ren to wipe the spicy sauce from his eyes. Ren landed on his feet and swiftly kicked the mad dog in the stomach, sending him crashing into the table.

Breathing heavily, Ren stood his ground as the mad dog tried to get up, slipping on spilled food and trays.

Yuto eventually got back to his feet and came charging in with another wild swing which Ren effortlessly dodged. But then chaos began to unfold, the wild swing from Yuto connected with a nearby student.

His friend seeing his friend completely knocked out reacted instinctively and punched back but then hit another student.

This then sparked a massive chain reaction, and soon the cafeteria was now a full-blown battlefield. Students were hitting each other left and right, the initial brawl between Ren and Yuto had turned into a Slugfest; a massive free-for-all; a Cafeteria Brawl!.

Ren now found himself dodging punches and kicks from random students while still keeping an eye out for Yuto's attacks. A student with a chair leg came at him, but Ren ducked and countered with an uppercut, sending the attacker sprawling. Yuto, meanwhile, was grappling with another student who had tackled him from behind when he was distracted. He shook him off easily and threw him into a group of others fighting, knocking them down like a bunch of bowling pins.

The mad dog turned his attention back to Ren, but not before another student lunged at Ren with a tray. Ren deflected the attack and swept the attacker's legs out from underneath him, sending him face first into the dirt.

Yuto, enraged by this new interruptions, grabbed ahold of another nearby student by the shirt and tossed him across the room like he was nothing, clearing out a path for him back to Ren.

"Enough playing around!. " Yuto roared, charging at Ren again.

"I should say the same to you!. "

This time, Ren met him head-on, their fists colliding with a force that sent shockwaves through the cafeteria.

In the midst of their renewed confrontation, Ren and Yuto still had to fend off the attacks of other brawling students. Ren ducked under a swing from one student, countering with a few quick jab to the ribs. Yuto caught another student trying to tackle him and threw him into a table, which collapsed under the sudden impact.

Despite the chaos, the intensity of the fight between Ren and Yuto only grew. Ren managed to grab a broken table top, using it to block a swing from Yuto's makeshift club. The two weapons clashed, the sound of wood hitting plastic again echoing through the room. Ren swung the piece, almost catching Yuto across the shoulder and causing him to stagger back a bit.

Yuto recovered quickly, grabbing another student who had foolishly tried to jump into the fray and using him as a human shield. Ren hesitated for a moment, and Yuto took quick advantage of it, throwing his makeshift club with inch perfect precision, hitting Ren's table piece square in the centre and knocking it out of his firm grip.

Ren and Yuto locked eyes once more, each now understanding that neither was a pushover and that their little tussle was far from over. The cafeteria was in shambles now, with students fighting all around them, but in that moment it felt to them like there were only the two of them there and no one else.

Yuto took one step forward and disappeared in a blur of speed. Ren who had been keeping up with his blitzering speed all through the fight had lost sight of him for a second and then he felt a rush of air as Yuto reappeared, launching a punch directly at his face. Ren was able to readjust his body, barely managing to block it, the force of the blow sending him skidding a few meters back across the floor.

"Tcch… so much for no fights on the first day. " Ren sighed at his realization, his hands twitching.

This fight had only just begun.
