When they arrived back home, Lola headed straight upstairs to their room, citing fatigue as the reason, while Luis made his way to the living room.
'Should I inform Grandfather and Esmeralda about this?' Luis contemplated, a sheepish smile playing on his face as he pulled out his phone from his pocket.
He dialed his grandfather's number and waited for a response.
After a few rings, his grandfather finally picked up, his voice brimming with curiosity. "What is it this time, Luis?"
"Is Esmeralda with you there?" Luis inquired with an excited grin.
"Did you forget? I and Esmeralda left for France a while ago. Of course she's here," his grandfather replied.
"Good, I have wonderful news to share," Luis conveyed.
"Say it already," his grandfather urged.
"I'm going to be a father soon," Luis revealed with great excitement.
"Are you joking with me?" his grandfather grumbled.
"Being a father is no joke," Esmeralda chimed in.
