Chapter 54: Fiance-Alexandria
The next morning.
Eren stood up from his bed. There were bags under his eyes. It was evident that he didn't sleep yesterday night.
How could he sleep?
His grandpa had dropped a bomb saying today Eren would meet his fiance.
He was nervous as well as curious.
He was curious as he wanted to see his fiance and judge if she was up to his standards.
As for being nervous, it's because he didn't know how to say no to someone who was deemed to be his fiance. It had become more chaotic as he is a noble and most probably his fiance would also be from one of the most powerful noble houses.
He rubbed his head in annoyance caused due to his family. He hoped he was never from the noble.
He already hated nobles due to their power play. Now, he hated them more as he is also one!
Eren was thinking of different situations that may arise when he meets his fiance. He was thinking of how to refuse her if she wasn't up to his standards.
But, if he liked her then it will be a romance episode!
(AN: The romance part, huh? I look forward to what I write.)
As he was thinking, he sensed the arrival of Kyle in his room. He then turned his attention to him with a merry smile.
Seeing the smile, Kyle's heart melted, and said lovingly to Eren.
"If you don't like your fiance, don't be shy to tell us. We will immediately cancel the engagement. I am always with you 'cause I want you to be happy!"
Eren nodded with a smile and then hugged his grandpa.
Kyle continued while patting Attie's head.
"Your fiance has arrived and is waiting for you on the balcony near this room. You can talk to her wholeheartedly and we won't eavesdrop on your conversation. After that, do tell me your opinion about marrying her or not."
Eren agreed with Kyle and went to change his dress to a more suitable one for this occasion. Kyle also went away to see his daughter, Kuromi.
After two minutes, Kyle exited his room and made his way to the balcony.
When he reached there, he saw a pretty girl. She was a beauty in the beauties. The most distinguishing thing is her hair which is violet in color.
She was looking at the scenic view outside and wasn't aware of someone looking at her curiously.
Eren looked at her fully for a few minutes and rated her five out of ten stars in his 'Girls Rating Book'.
He then coughed to tell the lady that he is there.
After hearing the cough, the girl turned around at looked at Eren curiously. She was mesmerized by his handsomeness but she didn't allow that to cloud her resolve.
She decided to introduce herself.
"Alexandria." She then went on to shake hands with Eren.
Eren replied by shaking hands and introducing himself.
"Atesh."
For a few minutes, there was silence as neither Eren nor Alexandria said anything. They just looked into each other's eyes.
Eren decided to tell his feelings about her and tell her that he didn't wanna marry her. But, Alexandria beat him in it.
She said.
"I'm sorry, Atesh. Even though you're the most handsome man I have ever seen, I can't marry you. I am already in a relationship with a person and he stole my heart. I cannot trash him and come with you."
Surprised by her bold attitude of her, Eren replied.
"It's okay. I was also going to tell you that I can't marry you. As for the reason… even I don't know."
They looked at each other again and nodded their heads in understanding.
After that, they went to the place where Kyle and the father of Alexandria were sitting waiting for them.
Eren told me about their decision.
"We have mutually decided not to marry."
The father of Alexandria was surprised. He was sure that the stupid daughter of his would have told him about her lover. And most probably Attie would be a nice guy. So, he decided not to marry and trash his love.
He sighed and turned his attention towards Kyle waiting for his reply.
Kyle just smiled at the father of Alexandria and said.
"If they don't wanna do it, why do we pressurize them?"
He also agreed and went away with his daughter to their own home.
Kyle didn't ask about the reason for declining the proposal as Eren feared. They went to eat their breakfast.
