Chapter 27: Nyx

A small chapter. Sorry!

"Everyone! As always, be careful. When we enter, the monsters may swarm us from all sides. Keep your full attention focused. Crixus, you too be careful." Eren said to others.

Hearing this all others nodded. They then kept their hands on the gate at the same time.

A bright light came. Due to the brightness, all had to close their eyes. When Thu opened their eyes after the light subsided, they were in a different place.

Eren being the most careful one assessed how they came to another place. And soon he understood the cause of this phenomenon.

The gate is linked to different places at parallel dimensions. The gate worked with the help of time and space elements. The time Element is needed for parallel dimensions travel while to displace an object or thing, the Space element is needed.

(AN: Parallel dimensions. It is somewhat like a parallel universe to the current one. There all are the same but it isn't easy to enter. Only powerful beings could create their artificial parallel dimensions to link different places while no space is taken.

Eren was astonished by the creation of such a parallel dimension. He was sure that it wasn't a natural one. He was also curious about the identity of the person who created the dungeons.

The inside of the dungeon was vastly different from what they had imagined.

They imagined it to be filled with monsters that would try to kill them as soon as they entered.

But.....

There was only silence. Not a single being could be seen. The only thing except for the luxurious-looking walls that looked made up of some unknown material was a black portal that was the size of a Human.

The black portal was swirling continuously. It looked like it can devour anything that comes near it.

Suddenly they heard a sound!

[Welcome Challengers!

This is the first time one had ever entered this much of this dungeon. And I hope you all get the first completion too.

What you have already assumed is true. This is the boss room…..

If you enter the back portal, it would teleport you all to the boss's room where you could fight the boss.

Remember, every boss has their weakness. Find them and you can win easily!!!

The team was surprised to hear a voice of a lady. The voice wasn't cold but had a rather welcoming tone. They never thought something like this would be here.

Numerous questions ran through their mind of Eren. He then decided to ask a few of the ladies who seemed to talk to them.

"Miss, Who are you? Why are you helping us?" Eren asked.

[A nice question. I expected this question. See…. I am the consciousness of the dungeon. Not only this one but every other one is linked to me. I mean is that in every dungeon boss room, I will be there. But it doesn't mean I will talk to every challenger. I will only talk to specific people that I deem worthy to be talked to. I deem you all worthy.

Second, why do I help you all? Hmmm…..

You can say that I was made for this purpose. Guiding worthy people on the right path and helping them become strong. Only strong people can save the planet from the doom coming....]

The consciousness suddenly fell silent as it realized it had spilled a secret that it shouldn't have.

"What is the doom you are talking about? And how can I address you?" Eren asked.

[The doom... Sorry, I can't tell you about that until you become strong. It was a slip of my tongue. Behave like you never heard it even though I know it is impossible.

You can address me as Mmmmm….. Nyx.

So what's your name?]

"I am Atesh. Others are Madison, Rey, Klaus, and Crixus. If you don't mind me asking who created you and this artificial parallel dimension?" Eren asked.

Nyx was shocked…

[Ho-how do you know about this? A normal being shouldn't know about dimensions. No one knows unless you are from a specific group of people. And you can't be part of it. Who are you?]

Eren smiled as he replied.

"I am a being that holds vast secrets. I was also part of a specific group of people. But I am not now. As for who I am, it's not something you must know."

[.....] Nyx fell silent but soon she replied.

[I have nothing to say. Now go and finish the boss.]

Eren then looked towards his friends as they were looking at him in curious gazes. He told them that he would tell them his identity soon.

They all then entered the back portal as they disappeared from the area.

The dungeon's consciousness was still digesting what she heard from this human. There were numerous questions in her head.

Also, don't mistake Nyx for the Greek goddess Nyx. There may be some relationships that I may tell after a lot of chaps. So, till now, there are no relations.
