"Another devil..." Otto peered deep into the new visitor hiding in the shadows.
"Most likely a high-class devil." Brynhildr guessed from the man's aura.
"Come out," Otto ordered as immediately a dark silver-haired with a goatee man wearing armor, came out from the darkness.
"What an interesting human." The white-haired man said.
'That's Rizevim. A descendant of the original Lucifer in High School DxD.' Otto thinks that it is better if the guy in front of him should die since he is a major antagonist in the series. That might lead to a bigger problem in the future. It saved him time to look for this guy since he rarely came out from his hideout in the underworld.
"Be careful Otto, he's a pure-blooded devil." Brynhildr was worried and hoped she could assist him by using her spear.
"How about I propose you, human child," Rizevim smirked as he planned to coerce Otto to work for him.
"Why don't you follow me? I'll give you anything as a reward."
"Oh? Anything?" Otto decides to play along to get closer to him.
"Yes, be it money, power, or any woman in the world."
"Interesting, if I say I want to sleep with your mother. Would you—" Just before he could finish Rizevim released his aura toward him.
"Don't you dare, bring my mother into this human child?" Rizevim glared at Otto.
"..." Otto was under the impression that Rizevim didn't care for his mother, so he jokingly asked that.
"Oi—" He could feel that Brynhildr was pouting at his words.
"How much will you pay me?" Otto shifted the subject.
"Money is it? One million." Rizevim didn't care for human money as he did not need it.
"100 million." Otto wanted to speed run to be a millionaire quickly, even though the Apocalypse House was rich, it wasn't a multi-millionaire family, since Bismarck only got the money from his job.
"Deal. But you'll have to prove it first, whether or not you're worth 100 million." Rizevim wasn't dumb enough to be scammed.
"Then tell me, what do I need to do?" Otto asked.
"I have a person I need you to kill." Rizevim hid his smirk.
"Do tell me a simple detail."
Rizevim took out two pictures of two individuals.
'So that's what Cleria looks like...' Otto thought as he was presented by Rizevim with the picture of Cleria and Masaomi. He also knew that Rizevim had taken part in Cleria's assassination, with the Great King Faction in the underworld.
"Alright, and here's my account." Otto took out a piece of paper, as he approached Rizevim.
"Hmmm?" Rizevim felt uneasy, as suddenly he felt a flash in his chest.
Otto had pulled out Murasame and cut Rizevim's chest.
"Argh." Rizevim immediately backed away from Otto.
But Otto wasn't content on one cut. He wanted him dead right now or he'd have some troubles in the future, now that Rizevim now marked him as an enemy.
"Damn you—!" Rizevim roared, as he spread his wings to fly away.
Otto leaped towards his back as he cut off 4 of his 12 wings, before grabbing him to throw him back to the ground.
*Crash*
"He's surprisingly weak for a pure-blooded devil," Otto muttered, as he dropped down to Rizevim's back.
*Plunging Deathblow*
Rizevim was having a hard time moving as his upper body had already become numb from the Murasame's poison. As he was stabbed in the heart by Otto.
"what the. hell is. that... sword—" Rizevim said weakly fully he succumbed to the poison curse.
"That was fairly easy," Otto stated as he find fighting Inshun was more harder than the piece of shit in front of him.
"You just became stronger," Brynhildr said, as she completely forgotten about the other sword aside from the Blade of Tathagata.
"Anyway, what's the name of the sword?" She asked curiously why he didn't use Blade of Tathagata against Rizevim.
"Murasame, the one cut kill sword."
"One cut kill?" She was just jealous that he didn't use her as a tool.
"Yes, it delivers an incurable poison curse to anyone with just one cut... Well, unless you cut that limb of course." He said, surprising Brynhildr as to where Otto got the sword from.
"Why didn't you use it on your fight with Inshun back then?" She asked if he possessed Murasame from the beginning.
"That's because the fight would be boring if I just cut him once and he dies." He said as he now felt two curse energy behind him.
"Masaomi?" Otto looked behind his back finding Masaomi, who assumed was Cleria, from the picture he got from Rizevim.
"You—? Killed Rizevim!?" Cleria recognized Rizevim, as she saw him in the past.
"Rizevim?" Masaomi muttered as he also seemed to know him. 'What about the stray Touji sent!?' He thought.
"So? Got a problem with it?" Otto knew that Cleria didn't care if Rizevim was killed.
"Uh-nothing..." She replied as she wasn't confident that she could stop Otto's quick movements. Even if she has the Belial's 'Worthless' ability she can invalidate things, such as special abilities, properties, or effects, as long as the user can understand how that thing worked or functions.
Cleria only thought that Otto's speed was just his pure physical prowess since she didn't sense any magical power to enhance himself.
"..." Masaomi was silent because he didn't know that Otto was this strong. Enough to kill a high-class devil-like Rizevim. A feat that he finds hard to even achieve for himself.
"You want to fight too?" Otto asked, as to why they were still here to look at him.
"No!" Cleria screamed as she grabbed Masaomi's hand to stay away from Otto.
"Then we'll take our leave," Masaomi stated cautiously as they quietly left before the other exorcists arrived.
"Hmmm..." Otto looked at Rizevim's corpse as there was still a faint sign of cursed energy.
"Can you absorb it?" He asked Brynhildr, as Rizevim's unique ability, Sacred Gear Canceller. It can allow the user to negate all traits and abilities related to or enhanced by all of the sacred gear made by God from the Bible. That includes all 12 Longinus and the new ones that would come later in the future.
"Yes." She replied as Otto finally used her spear to absorb Rizevim's soul before Otto cremated the corpse with his new blue flames that were enhanced by Brynhildr's flame.
...
Meanwhile, Touji and the exorcists arrive at the scene where Otto fought with the stray they've accidentally let out.
"What the..." They saw the mutilated corpse of the middle-class devil that was all around the place.
"This..." Touji realized that Otto was stronger than he had expected, with the wooden sword.
"Where is he now?"
"I think he left the barrier." One of the priests replied, before cleaning the murder scene.
"Damn." His plan awry but now knew how strong Otto was.
"Should we look to him further?"
"No... Just leave it, we'll see him soon in the future." He decided to hold it for now and wait.
"Did you find Masaomi?" He asked.
"No..."
"Mmmmm." Touji wanted to scream in frustration as Masaomi might've run away, because of a devil woman. Since he knew how big his crime was to the church.
'I could've lowered your sentence, if you didn't run away.' He had always thought of Masaomi as his friend and only wanted all the best for him.
'Now it's best if we don't encounter each other in the future, Masaomi. Because when we do, I'm not certain I'm still your ally by then.' Touji sighed.
"Let's go back..."
Touji and the others left the area after removing the barrier.
"Father," Irina called out to Touji who recently came back home.
"Hello, my little angel. Is there something wrong?" Touji hugged his daughter which removed, the stress today.
"I do. What does a reversed tower mean?" She asked curiously as she heard it from a certain blond man she had come across in the park while playing with Issei.
"Reversed Tower?" Touji didn't know what it meant and thought that I was just a children's riddle. "An upside-down tower?"
"Is it though?" She had question marks on her growing on her head.
"Maybe." He just shrugged it as he picked his daughter up towards his wife, who was cooking for dinner.
"Honey, I'm back."
"Welcome home, Touji." His wife smiled softly as she had just finished cooking.
"By the way, have you encountered a blond man today?" She asked curiously.
"Blond man?" He quickly thought of Otto.
"What of it?"
"Well, Irina shouldn't stop talking about strange things. Like Reversed tower or moon." She thought that Irina encountered a crazy person in the street.
'Otto?'
"I'll look into it tomorrow..." He started to get wary of Otto since he couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't a coincidence that Irina and Otto met.
'Suspicious...' He thought.
'What's gotten with mother and father?' Irina just looked at them confusingly.
.
...
.
Meanwhile, Otto discreetly followed Cleria and Masaomi who were planning to teleport out of the country in the quiet place.
"It's almost done..." Cleria said to Masaomi who was guarding the area.
"Are you going to kill them too?" Brynhildr asked. Even though Otto became somewhat more passive than before, it's not that easy to change a person after all.
"No, I'm just curious about them."
"Mmm is that so?" She also finds it odd that a Devil and an Exorcist become a couple in the first place and considers it a rare match.
"I can feel a group of people coming in this direction." Masaomi could sense 5 middle-class Devils coming in their direction, his expression turned grim as he wasn't confident he could stop the 5 of them if they decided to attack.
"There!" One of them shouted as they approached the Cleria and Masaomi, with killing intent.
"Quick, get them!" The 5 of them rushed to prevent the couple from escaping.
*Mortal Draw*
But suddenly a wave of blue flame slash enveloped the 4 Devils, turning them to ashes.
"???" The last remaining devil was confused as to how his teammate had gone.
Cleria and Masaomi were confused about who gave them a helping hand.
"Thank you, whoever you are," Masaomi stated before he and Cleria successfully teleported away.
"Wait—" The devil tried to reach them, as he only wanted to ask questions as to where his allies went.
"Hello, friend." Otto approached the devil who was mourning in the ashes.
"Who the hell are you!" He glared at Otto.
"Just a passerby," Otto replied calmly.
The devil didn't buy his reply and placed his anger on Otto instead.
"Grahhh! This is for Tom!" The devil punched Otto who didn't wince at his punch.
"For Harry!" He scratched Otto's arm which hurtled his nails instead.
"aaaaaaahhhhh—" He screamed as he didn't stop trying to put a scratch on Otto who was using magic and curse energy to block his random attacks.
"This painnnn, means nothing compared to the pain of losing my best friends!!!" He roared, making Otto cringe a bit.
"Why won't you die!?" The devil complained as his hand was destroyed from his futile attempts.
"Haaah— Nanomachines, brother. It hardens in response to physical and magical trauma." Otto stated, as Code: Unknown is after all a nanomachine.
"Haaaaaa—!" The devil punched Otto rapidly trying to get a reaction from him, all the while Otto was using his Eight-Handled Sila as it turned once in a while, to adapt to the strength of his punches.
"You can't hurt me, Devil." Otto sighed as he just stood in one spot letting the devil punch his body.
'It slightly hurts. Like a pinch from an ant. It's itchy.' Otto thought.
