28 A Slacker and a King.

"Lelei, what are you doing here?" asked kei.

It was already night and he was about to go to sleep, while esdeath was taking a bath.

He got out of bed and answered the door when he heard someone knock on it, only to see a sleepy lelei, who could barely hold her own weight.

"Kei carry me to my room" demanded lelei.

She could not bear to stand any more, and just as she was about to fall down.

Kei carried her like a princess, so the last thing she could do was look at the face of Kei who had a gentle smile on his face.

It was until now that she started to question if her seduction plan was too shameless, though she would leave it for later, after all, the warmth from kei's embrace was too comfortable.

'Oi oi isn't she being more cheeky than in canon?' kei thought as he looked at a sleeping lelei in his arms 'but I guess nothing can be done, besides it seems like she really fell asleep' he could only see the calm smile lelei had on her face.

So Kei, decided he wouldn't think too much about it.

Closing the door kei went back and settled lelei on the bed, and then removed the more superficial clothes so she would sleep more comfortably, all while esdeath was coming out of the bathroom with only a towel partially on.

"..." esdeath.

"..." Kei.

They both just looked at each other.

Esdeath was only alternating her gaze between kei and lelei, both of whom were already lying on the bed.

Lelei on one of the edges and kei in the middle.

Esdeath just couldn't help herself so she let out a sigh, looks like the world decided to ruin her fun for tonight.

'And here I was thinking of letting him try something new' thought esdeath.

She just dried her body and put on pajamas, she then lay down next to kei and fell asleep.

But one thing is for sure, if kei knew what esdeath had planned for tonight, surely he would have told ciel to teleport lelei to her room.

[Same night, in piña and Bozes' room ]

"Do you think they plan to use the violation of the treaty to start a war?" Bozes asked Piña.

They were both in one of the facilities built by kei's subordinates, and right now they were in their beds trying to compare and advise each other.

"No, they wouldn't have treated us so well if they had," replied piña.

"Then..." Bozes.

"I don't know... we are so different that I can't imagine their motives for fighting" said piña as she looked out the window.

"And to find out them..."

"Piña-sama... you won't think?" Bozes sounded shocked.

"I need to go" said piña.

[The next day]

Morning.

"Are you sure about this captain? I don't remember Rory being mentioned" asked one of itami's teammates.

"Kei" was all itami said and that was more than enough.

"Why so many clothes?" asked Tuka.

She was going through the clothes she was wearing, stretching them, rubbing them, and playing with them. After all in this medieval world, the cloth used for clothes is not that comfortable.

"They say the weather is different in the other side" lelei answered tuka's question.

Lelei had a somewhat blank look on her face, her plan from the night before had worked, but she never expect to have the best sleep of her entire life, though her morning turned somewhat sour, once she saw that esdeath was also lying on one side of kei.

"Mm? where is kei by the way? Lelei" Itami asked.

Snapping out of her thoughts, lelei replied " I don't know, all he said when we parted was: " wait until everyone is ready, I have some last minute business to attend to, and don't worry I'll join you later."

Itami just nodded at lelei's explanation.

And it didn't take long for kei to arrive.

As two black conventional cars approached them.

"Sorry... There were last minute changes" Lieutenant Yanida spoke as he got out of his car.

After that he went to the back and opened the door for piña and Bozes to get out of it.

While kei and esdeath got out of the other car.

"Both of them will accompany you secretly, take care of them" Yanagida said with a smile.

His tone was playful and directed towards Itami.

"No one told me about this Yanagida" Itami asked for explanations.

"We have representation from Kei Kirasaki and approval from the other side" Yanagida explained.

Itami didn't look too happy.

"The princess is our link to the empire" he smiled "besides there's nothing wrong with showing her our country."

"See I told you there would be no problem" Kei said to Bozes.

Since the morning, Bozes woke up and with the decision to help the princess, she left the room and started to look for kei.

But when she realized that she would not find him, she decided to go for the easy way, she approached one of the guards and started saying Kei's name, over and over again until they listened to her and decided to ask Kei.

Once she met kei, she couldn't help herself and gave him a hug.

But from kei's perspective, Bozes at that moment looked like a little dog which did not look at its owner for a long time.

After the hug and an awkward silence, she took the courage to explain the situation to him, once explained she just looked at him hopefully, hoping that kei would not refuse, and it may be because of what happened that night or not, but she forgot the formalities and felt that she could trust kei, so she took this leap of faith and she asked for help regardless of the consequences.

Kei could only look at her, but for some reason, Bozes's gaze reminded him of a puppy waiting for you to give it something to eat, or one waiting for some food to fall off the table to take it and eat it.

He felt that he could not refuse, so the moment he gave a positive answer, he approached her and whispered to Bozes the price of the favor he was asking.

She knew this situation would come at some point and she braced herself, but she didn't count that just the closeness of the moment would make her body so hot.

Her breath got heavy and for a moment she forgot the reason why she was doing this, but once kei stated the price, she just nodded with a flushed face and even though they were done talking she didn't want to release him, the memories of the night she had with him came back and right now she felt like her crotch needed to be stretched by that monster again.

Kei could only smile at her cute behavior, he could feel how she was nervous and how she wouldn't let go, so without thinking, he lifted Bozes's face and taking her by her chin kissing her.

And a few minutes later they broke apart.

"Thank you" Bozes replied.

"No" Kei shook his head "Thank you" Kei smiled and leaned closer to her ear "I'll be looking forward to my payment" kei murmured in Bozes' ear.

"Mm" she just nodded and lowered her gaze.

All this happened under the gaze of esdeath, who just decided to ignore it and blankly stared at it.

"The world kei and the others come from" said tuka.

"I want to see it already" said Rory smiling.

"We're not going to go and have fun though" lelei tried to remind them.

Said the girls as they watched the large metal door built around the portal open.

[on the other side of the portal]

"Are those walls?" asked Bozes in a nervous voice.

she looked around, and everything was overwhelming her, she as a noble had been to many cities but nothing compared to this.

For them, the biggest construction seen so far in their world, was the imperial castle, and yet this one took years to build.

"No... look there are people inside" said piña.

"they use space very effectively" said lelei.

"Does that mean kei's country is small?" asked Rory.

"It may be small or overpopulated" said lelei.

"Lelei is right, my world is overpopulated and by this time we are more than nine billion people" said kei.

"..." Bozes.

"..." piña.

"..." lelei.

"..." tuka.

"..." Rory.

'seriously what the f**k did the empire get itself into?' thought piña.

"It really is very cold" said tuka, as she hugged herself.

"didn't i warn you?" said shino.

"Is it okay? if you want I can give you another jacket" asked mari.

"no, I'm fine like this" she shook her head.

"let us know if you need it" said Shino.

"lieutenant itami, and kei kirasaki it's nice to meet you" a voice called out to both of them.

kei and itami just turned their gaze, they were both having a small conversation about what they would do to today, after all kei didn't know if anything had changed.

When they turned around all they saw was a middle aged man with tousled hair.

"mmm?" kei just looked at him for a moment and then spoke to itami "friend of yours?" asked kei.

itami just shook his head.

"i'm komakado, from the intelligence headquarters" the middle-aged man introduced himself "i was asked to escort you guys."

"you're the public security guy?" itami asked, he already had an idea who this man was, after all, not everyone walks around with two bodyguards.

"did you notice?" he let out a laugh " i expected nothing less from the hero and it looks like both heroes get along well" said komakado.

"it was nothing" itami replied while kei just listened to the conversation.

" You say it was nothing?" komakado took a deep breath before continuing " I was doing some research" he said as he pulled a notebook out of his coat.

"You got the second worst grade on your report card and that was only because the worst one was hurt, your performance after graduating was rated as barely acceptable, and after getting mad at you your superior got you into Ranger school, which you finished. And for some reason you were transferred to Narichino, your mediocre evaluations kept you as a second lieutenant, but thanks to the Ginza incident you were promoted to lieutenant" said komakado, giving a little summary of itami's life.

"wow you sure did some research" itami said.

"And let's just say your reputation wasn't very good" komakado just laughed "the words slacker and otaku were very prevalent while investigating you."

itami could only sigh.

"But somehow, you ended up as an S" this time his amused tone disappeared.

"..." everyone was just in awkward silence.

some of them didn't know what it meant, but shino and mari couldn't be surprised anymore, after all, this year the world changed from how they knew it and all because of the person who was standing next to itami right now.

although they still doubted it, after all itami's personality doesn't match everything that must have happened.

*sigh* "you really investigate me" itami didn't make a big deal out of it "did you know that if one ant colony gets rid of the laziest one, another one will start lazing around?" said itami.

"are you saying that slackers are necessary?" asked komakado.

"i don't think that's what he means" kei interrupted "but yes, you can say that slackers are necessary, after all it's by being slackers that we achieve all these commodities."

And this is partly correct, people who didn't like that travel took so long, created the car, those who didn't want to take a boat, created airplanes, and so on with all things.

Being a slacker doesn't have to be bad, but depending on how you take the approach it can make being a slacker a blessing or a curse, so it's up to you and your decision.

"I don't know, but I used to say that to my superior when he would scold me and..."

"He transferred you to the special forces" komakado said, completing itami's sentence.

"Yeah" *sigh* "although I just wanted to go against him" said itami.

"Well, if people like you two can take it easy, should mean that everything is fine" said komakado.

"Seriously, you must be special" komakado gave a slight bow "I pay my respects to a slacker who can lounge around among worker ants and to the king of people."
