Chapter 3

After the battle against the skeletons, Dr. Roman explained to me and Altria about the Singularity and the threat that was endangering human history. According to him, this Singularity was affecting the city of Fuyuki in 2004, altering the historical events that led to the Holy Grail War. Altria listened attentively while I talked to Mash, who was concerned about the last words of Dr. Roman. "He said something big is coming, but I think he's talking about you," Mash said, looking in the direction we came from.

I wasn't worried about Dr. Roman's words because I know who the final boss of this stage is, and I'm confident that with Altria by our side, we can face any threat. "Don't worry, Mash. With Altria's help, we can face anything that comes our way," I tried to reassure her. Altria looked at us and said, "As your servant, it's my duty to protect and assist the master in all situations. So don't worry, I'll always be by your side."

I felt a chill down my spine with Altria's words. She was truly an exceptional warrior. "Thank you, Altria. Let's try to find a safe place to take shelter until we decide what to do next," said Ritsuka.

Mash nodded as Altria walked ahead, protecting us from any danger. As we moved, I looked back and saw that Olga wasn't following us. She was standing with her back to us, muttering something.

"Hey, are you coming with us?" I asked her. Olga jumped and looked at me suspiciously, evaluating me up and down several times.

"I'm coming, but I want you to know that I don't trust you, so be careful." Olga walked past me, speaking. I gave an ironic smile; it seemed that gaining her trust wouldn't be easy. But it didn't matter as long as I could get out of there.

"Are you okay, director?" Mash asked, concerned about Olga, who looked at her angrily and walked ahead without looking back.

"Don't worry about her. She's like that, but I think she's quite worried about us, Ritsuka, and me." Mash gave a weak smile and began to run, pulling Ritsuka behind Olga.

"Are you okay, master?" Altria asked with her cold voice. I couldn't see her expression because of her mask.

"I'm fine as long as you're by my side," I answered her. To tell the truth, I really needed her to survive there. Of course, if there were other servants, they would also help me live.

"I'll do my best for you to survive, even if I have to give my life!" Altria spoke seriously. I looked at her and smiled, "I know you will, Altria. That's why I'll reward you with my gratitude and lots of food!"

Altria swallowed and replied, "Food? You don't need to worry about that, master. Doing my duty and protecting my master is reward enough for me."

I smiled, knowing that Altria was a loyal and honorable servant. I also knew she loved to eat. But I had to admire her because she really believed in what she was doing and was willing to give her life for her master.

We continued to walk through the destroyed streets of Fuyuki, looking for a safe place to take shelter. I could see that Altria was constantly on alert, her eyes inside the helmet fixed on every movement around us, ready to fight if necessary.

Suddenly, a loud and screeching sound echoed throughout the city. I looked at Altria, who already had her spear in hand and ready to attack. Mash and Ritsuka were also tense, ready to act.

At that moment, we saw several shadows approaching in the distance. They were several skeletons advancing towards us with heavy steps.

I could feel the pressure of danger increasing around me. Altria looked at me and said, "Prepare yourself, master, we will face the threat!"

With that, she advanced to face the skeletons. Ritsuka and I stayed behind, while Mash followed Altria, ready to help her in any way possible.

Without hesitation, Altria advanced to attack. She attacked the crowd of skeletons, moving with incredible speed while delivering powerful blows with her spear.

The enemies tried to block the attacks with their spears, but Altria continued to destroy the skeletons.

Mash also didn't want to be left behind, she attacked with her shield, destroying the skeletons without hesitation.

Ritsuka and I watched the two servants fighting from afar.

Mash, in turn, used her shield to protect Altria from other skeletons trying to attack her from behind.

I watched, amazed, at Altria's skill and agility in combat. She moved with such grace, almost seeming to dance while fighting.

The skeletons continued to approach, but Altria and Mash kept them at bay. I knew we couldn't fight forever, we needed to find a safe place to shelter.

"Come on, Ritsuka, we have to find a place to hide," I said, pulling her by the hand. I didn't forget to pull Olga too, and she didn't complain about me pulling her.

We ran towards a ruined building, looking for a place to hide. We found an empty room and locked the door, hiding inside.

"What are we going to do now?" Ritsuka asked, panting, while trying to catch her breath.

Olga was also catching her breath.

"We'll wait for Mash and Altria to find us here," I replied, trying to control my own breathing.

We sat in silence, listening to the sounds of battle outside. I knew that Mash and Altria would defeat the skeletons and join us soon.

For now, we just had to wait for them to arrive. Olga also sat down, but stayed away from me.

"We have to end this Singularity soon, we won't be able to do it if we keep hiding," Olga spoke, looking at me. I have nothing to say about her, she's right.

"I think it's better if we leave here, I don't want to stay in a nearly destroyed house," I said, looking at the house we were in. I stood up and opened the door.

I could hardly hold back my smile because of the message in my head.
