Chapter 87 - Boots On The Ground (3)

Weiss: "Let's see if this one puts up a challenge."

Weiss rushed forward but this time she moved in a star pattern leaving glyphs in five different locations. She was setting up her field of battle like Shallot told her and decided to listen to his advice since everyone else is becoming stronger listening to him. She started layering multiple layers of formations creating a giant circle made from glyphs.

Blake: "Another enemy!"

Blake prepared her Gambol Shroud and wrapped her ribbons around the blade handle and took care of the ones on the edge.

Yang: "Kiddie gloves are comin' off!"

Yang rushed directly for the Beowolves that were coming towards the edges that got past Blake punching and as soon as her fist landed the Grimm would implode. Yang whistled seeing what she was capable of now.

Jaune: "Uh... Guys... We got Beowolves!"

Jaune got into a defensive stance seeing the large number of Grimm thinking about the invasion that almost happened in the city of Vale.

Nora: "Dibs on these guys!"

Nora had her Magnhild and she was sparking with electricity and zipped into the side of a Grimm smashing it into the ground squashing it like a bug.

Pyrrha: "Form up!"

Pyrrha started to give formation for her team and everyone then came back to go after a section of the Grimm.

Ren: "Careful. Beowolves nearby."

Some Beowolves were trying to flank them since they had gathered together. The Beowolves were rushing in but Weiss had finished placing down her last glyph.

Coco: "Yatsuhashi defense, Fox, you will deal with the Creeps, and I'll deal with the Beowolves. While the Schnee will finish what she was doing."

Yatsuhashi: "Understood."

Fox: "Uhm."

They both got ready and had kept the Grimm preoccupied with so many attacking from different angles while Velvet and Shallot were just watching from the side. Ruby had also rushed off and she was used to her new speed from using ki and caught one of the Grimm with her Crescent Rose taking its head with her as she flew past the rest of the Grimm.

Weiss: "Everyone, get away from inside the glyphs."

Everyone left from the inside trusting Weiss and Weiss stood on one of the Glyphs she placed and shot off leaving an afterimage of where she was. The next second one of the creeps died. The other Grimm looked around trying to figure out what had happened before it knew how to react Weiss was back again killing another Creep.

No one except Shallot and Blake could see her actual body moving since she was moving so fast and could only see afterimages of where she was. It left the image of there being 20 Weiss dashing to the Grimm, stabbing them, and then moving the another Glyph before repeating the attack. It only took her 2 minutes to finish the rest of the Grimm.

Weiss finally stopped and stopped using her semblance. She looked at the dead Grimm that was disappearing into the wind turning into dust. Weiss was also amazed at what she could do. Shallot wanted to make her understand that his training always has a purpose.

Weiss felt her legs couldn't handle much more but also felt that this could be very useful to her fighting style and that she needs to build up her stamina. When she thought about that she frowns when thinking about Shallot teaching her and her getting angry.

~FlashBack~

Team RWBYS were outside in the back of the dorms training in the gravity training with both Ruby, Blake, and Yang attacking him in hand to hand combat. While Weiss was only doing exercises and running inside of the gravity field that Shallot was creating with his semblance.

Weiss was seeing that the others were doing combat training. Weiss had stopped exercising and walked over to Shallot feeling the gravity feeling heavier the closer she got. Shallot and the other girls had stopped with Ruby smiling at her.

Ruby: "What's wrong Weiss? Are you ready to go back in?"

Weiss had a frown on her face while looking at Shallot.

Weiss: "Why don't you train me like the others. I'm on the same team and we're all teammates. Just because they are your girlfriends you shouldn't leave me out of training and only teach them how to become stronger."

Weiss was fuming and Shallot only had a smile on his face not taking it personally. He knew that she was spoiled and that she probably didn't have to do physical training as hard as this.

Shallot: "The exercises are to train your stamina because that is something you look for in your fighting style. If I was to classify you would be a speed type similar to Ruby. The difference between you two is that you are like a glass cannon while Ruby is Speed and power but only with her weapon. Take her weapon away and she is a lot less trouble which I am trying to fix.

You're a glass cannon that can attack fast and quick but you don't have the stamina for drawn-out battles. I only give what everyone needs to become stronger. I don't play favorites when it comes to teaching you all since it will affect your life.

~FlashBack End~

Weiss was exhausted and felt that her legs were cramping and was having trouble walking after changing directions so many times so quickly.

Shallot appeared next to her picking her up in a princess carry and started walking ahead. Weiss wanted to struggle and get down when Shallot stopped her.

Shallot: "Calm down Ice Queen. Your legs are mostly cramping and weave only been here for an hour. We need to finish our mission here and then you can rest on the way to the next location."

Weiss started to calm down and only rubbed her legs while being carried while mumbled.

Weiss (mumbling): "Stupid, I didn't ask to be carried or anything."

Shallot started walking again and everyone else just decided that they would just keep moving. Coco was thinking that the Vital Festival this year was going to be really tough. Fox was also paying attention knowing that it is possible that they could end up against them in the tournament.

Shallot and everyone were walking further up the path mountain path with Shallot carrying Weiss when they came across a bridge. Across the bridge was a cave that seemed to lead to another section and had been used before. Professor Port came in over the coms and started talking to them.

Professor Port (Comm): "The security control center for this region is inside that cave. Go have a look and maybe we can discover what the problem is."
