Blood at the night

Ezen: "And what is graveyard hunting?"

Anastasia: "Graveyard hunting means that we are going to hunt corpses in the graveyard at night." She smiled brightly because she thought her idea was the best.

She looked at ezen for affirmation but he was not buying it. "You are creepier than me! Are you sure that you are not a demon or something?"

Anastasia got frustrated. She made this awesome plan but now he is rejecting this offer. "Why!? What is wrong with this idea!? My plan is far much better than going into a killing spree." She looked serious. "I don't care about anything. We are going to the graveyard at night and it is final!" She yelled loudly so he could hear it clearly.

Ezen covered his ears. "Stop being so bossy! Who do you think you are!? Why will i listen to you!?"

Anastasia: "You need to listen to me because i said so." She rolled eyes. "And... Not like you have some other choice... So in the end, you need to come to me only." She leaned towards him and smiled. "If yes, then hold my hand." She extended her hand towards him.

Ezen kept his both hands in his pocket. "Why does this line sounds so familiar?"

Anastasia giggled. "Ofcourse you will find this line familiar. Afterall i stoled this dialogue from you."

Ezen: "That is not fair! You can't steal my dialogues."

Anastasia: "Yes i can do that. The author of this novel wants me to steal your dialogue and i am doing as she says." She looked at me. "Right Riya?"

[The author covers her face while writing this chapter.]

Anastasia got serious again. "But anyway, are you going to listen to me or not?"

Ezen: "If i said no then, what are you going to do?"

Anastasia smiled sarcastically. "Then i am not going to do anything about it. I will just walk out from your house with a smile on my face. So don't be afraid, not like i am going to beat you or something."

Ezen raised his eyebrows "Ohh, so you want to beat me now!?"

Anastasia shook her head and chuckled. "No! I don't condone any kind of violence. And do you think i am crazy? How can I beat a powerful demon by myself?"

Ezen agreed. "Alright, as you wish. Let's do as you say. but remember one thing, if something bad happened then don't blame it on me... It will be completely your fault."

Anastasia: "Why are you thinking negatively before even we went there. You should be positive sometimes, and if something bad did happened, then what are you for? If something bad happened then you will handle it, right?"

Ezen nodded. "Sure. But you need to protect yourself more.... I am immortal, nothing can happen to me, but you are a human so you need to take extra care of yourself."

Anastasia: "You don't need to worry about that. I am pretty strong myself. So if any danger came towards me then i will fight it."

Ezen: "I don't doubt it. I know you are strong but it is better to be safe then be sorry."

Anastasia: "Alright then..." She took her purse. "I should be leaving." She glanced at the magical book that Ezen gave her. "And yeah, can i please take this book with myself? Because it has lot of new spells and i want to learn it."

Ezen handed her the book. "Sure, but don't show this book to anyone else, otherwise all of the pages will get burned." He lied. Nothing  like that would happen. He just made up this story just so Anastasia could not show this book to anyone else.

Anastasia got anxious. "Really!? Then i will try my best to keep it hidden."

Ezen: "So... How are you going to go? Want me to drop you?"

Anastasia declined "No! It's alright. I will go back on my own... But still, thanks for asking." After that, she left the room.

Ezen sighed and looked at his palm which was now blue.

Whenever Anastasia is around him, his dark mana suddenly vanishes. like it is scared of something.

He don't understand why this happens? This thing only happens if the the other party is threat for him.

So does that mean... Anastasia is threat for him? And if yes, then how? He needs to find about her birth origin as soon as possible because otherwise he will face alot of trouble in future.

But keeping this thing aside. He was very curious to know what is victor's connection with her? Why does he wants to protect Anastasia so badly?

While he was thinking about this stuff. He got startled because of someone's arrival.

A demon bowed infront of him. "Greetings your highness..."

Ezen looked at him with an emotionless face. "What do you want!?"

The demon talked with him while keeping his eyes down, because you can't talk with a high ranking demon by looking at their eyes. "Your highness, many human souls are refusing to enter hell. They have escaped from the prison and now, they are roaming in this earth. That's why the empress ordered you to do that task."

Looks like his mother heard about the thing he did last night, that's why she is giving him this task, just to punish him. But Ezen couldn't care less about it. He can find those lost ghost in like seconds so this punishment will definitely not going to harm him in anyway.

But sometimes he wonder. What might have happened in the hell when the empress heard about him saving Anastasia? How many demons died last night?

He chuckled while thinking about it. "If my mother wants me to do the task then i have no choice but to accept it." He looked at the demon that brought him the message. "And by the way, how many demons died yesterday? Is the empress still mad at me?"

The demon looked down at said. "Total 50 demons were injured but only 2 of them died. She was very angry that you disobeyed her that's why she took her anger in the other demons. But i don't think the empress is mad at you anymore. Afterall, you are her most beloved child."

Ezen couldn't control his laughter after hearing that. "The demons she killed were also technically her childrens. But anyway, who the hell gives damn about them? Atleast i am safe." He looked at the demon. "You can leave now. I'll take care of the matter. Give my regards to mother and also father if he cared enough to ask about me. And if he didn't cared then screw him." He took a sip of the red wine because his mood got really bad after calling that bastard father.

A person who is negligent towards their own one and only child then they have no right to be called father.

"As you wish your highness." The demon dissapeared after bowing one more time.

Anastasia was sitting on the garden's bench and reading the book that Ezen gave her. And she found very weird news by reading it.

This book was actually written by Victor Dalton.

She had lot of questions in her mind about this book. Anastasia wanted to ask victor about it and her luck was good because she saw him coming towards her in hurry.

She got up from her seat and hided the book inside her purse and kept staring at him. "You!? What are you doing here?"

Victor was in very hurry because yesterday he found out about the cult people trying to sacrifice Anastasia, that's why he came to check on her as soon as he can.

Victor: "I am so sorry. I should have been there for you. But i am sorry i couldn't."

Anastasia tried to calm him down. "It's okay, nothing happened to me. I am fine."

Victor sighed. "Well then i am glad..."

Anastasia looked at him curiously. "You know why they tried to kill me, right?"

Victor nodded. "Yeah... But i didn't know that they would find out about you this early."

Anastasia asked calmly "What do you mean by that? I know there are various things you are hiding from me... So.. when are you going to tell me about it?"

Victor: "When the time comes, I'll let you know about everything. Even, i also want you to know about your origin but... The timing is not right. Atleast not now."

The reason why time is not right is because of Ezen. If he didn't came out from that underground door then nothing bad would have happened.

But who cares about the past? Him coming out of that dungeon was supposed to happen? No one can change prophecy. Not even god has enough power to do that.

Anastasia understood what he was trying to say. "Alright... Take your time. I know you have a reason for hiding stuff from me that's why i understand your position...." She looked away from him "so till that time, I'll wait for your answer."

Victor closed his tightly because someone was trying to connect with him through his mind. "I promise you that i will tell you everything once the time is right."

(Are you happy now? I didn't told her anything.) He said it through her mind so mimi could hear him.

Anastasia sat on the bench. "Fine, i know you are not allowed to tell me anything about myself. But what about you? Tell me something about yourself."

Victor sat beside her. "What do you want to know about me?"

Anastasia: "I mean... You can tell me anything... Like why do you want to protect me so badly? What is your power? Who are you?"

Victor: "Ohh, so you want to know about my life?"

Anastasia: "Yeah... Because i am very curious about it. Your powers are very similar to mine... I have noticed that when you show some kind of emotions then it affects weather and the same things happens with me. And i also know that you can talk to Mimi so my curiosity has reached the top now."

Victor raised his eyebrows "Did you read my thoughts?"

Anastasia giggled because she was guilty. "I am sorry. I only heard your little thoughts with mimi."

Victor chuckles. "You know what? You remind me of someone i used to know. Looks like it is in your blood to be nosy about other people's matters."

Anastasia: "Huh!? So... You know my biological parents too?"

Victor: "Ofcourse i know them very well. If you forgot about it then let me tell you, that i have been in this earth for 1000 years so technically i know everyone one."

Anastasia kept staring at him with disbelief. "I know you are not going to tell me anything but i will still ask. What is my birth parents name?" She actually didn't cared but she was just curious.

Victor: "No. I am not telling you that."

Anastasia: "Why not!?" She sighed. "You real life character is more twisted than the movie's version."

Victor: "Are you talking about the movie 'the blood at the night?" He laughed while thinking about the plot of the movie. "That movie was silly. It was historically inaccurate."

Anastasia also chuckled. "I know but it was fictional for a reason. And by the way, that movie got you alot of fan following so you can't say anything bad about it." She pouted because it was one of her favourite movies.

Victor: "I got fan following because of what? Being an vampire? Do i look like an vampire?"

Anastasia: "Thank goodness they showed you as a vampire, not a demon otherwise your character might have turned into a villain."

Victor nodded. "True."

Anastasia: "But i have some questions. In that movie they said that some of the events were based on the true story. So is it true?"
